People will remember Ward for being boring and making constant excuses.
GGG could continually get better.

Ward and Golovkin are different types of fighters that appeal to different types of fans who have different ideas of what makes a fighter great. This won't change unless something surprising happens (e.g., Kovalev beats Ward convincingly, or Canelo actually follows through on his promise to face Golovkin and beats him, or at least makes it competitive.)
I'll add: I think Ward will dominate Kovalev in a UD, and Canelo will never agree to 160 against Golovkin, who would finish him easily.Last edited by Joe Beamish; 07-13-2016, 10:17 AM.

Kov and chocolatito had long ko streaks, difference is they actually fight world rated opponents in their divisions so the straks were halted
you cant fool educated fans, with ko streaks
Lamar clark went 44-0...44 kos staright and is a foot note in boxing
what GGG fanatics, HBO and k2 need to understand is his legacy will be judged by who he fought not by the belts he was handed or a ko streak
majority of his victims were kayoed before he got to them anyway
real fans know stuff like that...they care for facts, not illusions

Greatness is valued with how you win, its not valued by how many times you clinch someone or elbow/headbutt them into an unfair stoppage but this is the dude you defend lmao!
You need to learn what boxing is because Ward has done little of it in his pinnacle fights.

Sums it all up, no bias here whatsoever.

Kovalev has ward lined up, beat Pascal 2x who is a former 174 champion and been on the seen for a long time, and other titlists
Kov actually won ALL his belts in the ring....your hero has fought and won 1/3 belts he has...its pathetic
deal with the truth
your opinion means nothing in comparison to stone cold facts.........stay butthurt Can Man Fan
Pascal lost every meaningful fight he's ever had but that's your claim to fame that beating Kovalev is suddenly a great achievement?
Two can play at that game, you Yanks and your bias I just can't wait for the moment Ward isn't allowed to unfairly clinch and cheat his way to a decision because he's done it in nearly all of his big fights like a pathetic coward denying the fans a real event.

I just read how Lennox Lewis thinks Brook should NOT move up to face Golovkin. And I ask myself, why not? Isn't Golovkin terribly overrated? What's the big deal? Evidently a lot of boxers (including a lot of sparring partners that say he hits like a HW) think he's a beast.
We're all eager to put it to the test, but who's going to step up besides a ballsy welterweight? Not Canelo, Not Eubanks....nobody
