Brook gets hit very easily, there is a big difference between getting hit flush by Frankie Gavin than getting hit by a explosive puncher like Canelo.

Brook never moves his head, his chin is always up in the air, he has a stiff back, he will go down like a bag of spuds....mark my words...

Brooks saving grace has always been his size and height advantage over smaller weaker men.

You take that advantage away, he begins to crack..we saw it against a mediocre boxer like Carson Jones.

Brook has some skills, but his size has carried him through, he's going to have a hard time at 154 and 160...

I always stated that 147 is quite overrated and that brook or Thurman wouldn't even be top 5 at lmw but I can't see canelo knocking out brook when he couldn't put down of cotto and he had done real clean shots in that fight.

Like you say he landed clean shots on Cotto all night , Cotto never budged ..people must realise , who already don't Amir Khan is a fighter without a chin, knocked down ,knocked out, knocked to bits staggering around the ring , knocked unconscious what do these Khan buffoons not get?

Kell fighting Canelo I would look at as an excellent pick' um' match , GGG v Khan I would have to , like all just laugh ....no comparison !

Hey it takes balls to do what Brook is doing. Him just being willing to fight him and signing the contract deserves respect.

It would be one of boxing biggest upsets in the history of the sport if he won and with some fighters, thats enough motivation to perform better than ever. I hope Brook pulls it but if not i hope he performs great.

I disagree, it takes "balls" to fight your rivals and unify the welterweight title. When you have Thurman, Spence, Garcia, Khan, Porter, and even May, Pac in the same division you have no reason to be doing something as ****** as fighting a middleweight!

I don't get why anyone would get their nose so twisted out of joint by a WW jumping up to MW. It's just a fight. Enjoy it for what it is. If you are so sure it is a mismatch have some fun and put a bet on what round Brook will get KO'd and win yourself some money. You guys carry on like it is the end of the world and meanwhile folks getting shot dead by the police and the USA has a presidential choice between a racist and a crook and in the UK we have Thatcher 2 about to take the reins.

Lets examine:

• Mayweather - retired
• Pacquiao - possibly returns but always seems to fight in house boxers - will take an easy fight or 2 and then fight winner of Postol/Crawford
• Khan - Khan has shown no desire to step up to Brook. Has actually said that Brook has to earn that fight with him. Maybe fighting GGG wil count in that respect.
• Porter - He has already beaten him.
• Vargas - Fight fell apart as not enough money to satisfy both boxers
• Garcia - Seems to have little desire to fight any genuine challenger at 147. Has been called out by Thurman, Vargas and now today Vasquez. If you were Garcia who would you rather unite with, Vargas or Brook?
• Thurman - Only fighter who seems genuinely interested in fighting all-comers. Much respect.

So the way I see it is that it is not going to be easy to unite at 147. Maybe with luck he could get 2 belts. Golovkin is well known to sports fans now in the UK. I would suggest that Thurman is only known by hardcore UK boxing fans. So where is there more money for Brook - fighting GGG, Thurman or Vargas?

Finally, all the Golovkin haters throw shade on him for not stepping up. Then when Brook does step up and strive for greatness he is called an idiot and foolish and meanwhile more shade is thrown on Golovkin. Boxing can't win.

I'd rather see this fight than see Brook fight another Gavin. And I'd rather see this fight than see Golovkin fight another mandatory, unless it is Jacobs.
