Eh, not necessarily. I love Google trends and I'm the one who keeps posting them so... here's interest for both fights over times that's limited to the UK only.

    Booyah!

I got no clue how google trends translates to UK PPV cuts, but I'm up for listening to your theories on how Brook's bigger peaks = less than 80% on the cut. And plus lets not act like GGG hasn't been given up some of his $ as hazard pay to opponents anyway so even if its not straight up fair its what he's been doing to entice opponents just the tad bit more to get them to sign on the dotted line.

The whole thing is about money in the end. Even if someone wants to go for glory, they have to make the money to get their opportunities. GBP probably has low leverage over Canelo. He is a superstar.

Losses matter, if you lose to a mediocre fighter. If you lose in a good fight, people usually do not tend to give a ****. Unless you consider yourself "hardcore" and frequent this forum. Then the loser is clearly a fraud and bum.
He isn't THAT much of a superstar. His drawing power is overrated. And I believe he does want to fight Golovkin and it's just Golden Boy who want to protect their investment. He's fought guys before that stylistically could be described as high-risk, low-reward, who weren't even big names.

If the split was 80-20 on everything, and the rumor was that Eubank is gonna make GBP 3M, that would mean that Golovkin's share was 0.75 GBP. He would have never taken that. Not only is that much less than what he was getting his last 4-5 fights, but he'd never subject himself to this ****storm from the fans for that little money.

It's probably structured 3m guaranteed each, with Golovkin getting some extra money from HBO and 20% split of UK PPV profits.
          This right here.

One of the interesting things about this fight is that Brook will end up making $4 to $5 million pounds for fighting Golovkin, while Eubank will be lucky to earn $600,000 pounds in his next fight.

              1) I thought that lil'G was the " A-side " ?

              2) Khan was a money-fight for Canelo, but what is Brook for Golovkin ?

It's probably for the UK revenue with K2 getting most if not all the HBo $.

Kell is probably getting 80/20 of whatever HEARN thinks is fair

That interview made HEARN look like a snake and I doubt he's telling the truth about how things went down.

For everyone quick to sh.it on Eubank. If you go into a deal where it's 80/20 would just blindly trust the other party to be honest about the expenses & revenue wouldn't you want to oversee what the actual #s are. But Sr is now crazy and out of line

You have a problem raising the ticket prices but you don't have a problem allocating a majority of those tickets to resellers like stub hub and you skimming to profits from those which I bet the $ never sees the fighters hands

That 80/20 could probably turn into a far worse deal if not looked at. But it's easier to digest that Eubank is a scared b.it h

This was the plan from the begining

Props to Kell for getting 80% of whatever HEARN decides to give him

Please. If you have an open budget there's nothing to hide.

As Hearn quite rightly says, if it's good enough for Joshua and Froch? It's good enough for Eubank.
