I'm a GGG fan but there's no defending him fighting Brook even for money it's a slaughter.

Where did everybody get the idea that this is a money fight ?

On what planet has Kell Brook ever been a " money-fight " ?

        The first I heard.

Khan is a superstar who has beaten a number of world-class opponents, and he is a huge draw..... Kell Brook is relatively unknown, and has only beaten Porter.

Simply coming from the UK, does not make you a money-fight LMAO

Canelo dragged the superstar Khan up 8lbs for a money-fight, and was soundly bashed for his efforts..... and yet Golovkin will drag Brook up 13lbs for a non-money fight, and this will be wholeheartedly supported?

Stop trying to twist shyt you fuucking f@ggot
You're trying to present the data that only supports your claims without giving the full story. All the stipulations were completed for the GGG/Eubank Jr fight, but the Eubanks stalled past the deadline...so Hearn, not wanting to lose out on the GGG monies, took a shot & offered the same fight contract to Brook. Brook signed. 4 quality opponents ducked GGG on the way to this result. If only 1 one of those boxers had accepted to fight, we would be talking about that matchup rather than a mismatch. And of course it's a mismatch. But it's not like Brook was GGG's first option...he was plan E. That, at least, must be cleared up.

Completely ignored 168, which GG was supposedly going to do next. All a bunch of talk. He's fighting a lifetime Welter who has 1 good fight to his name. Quit trying to spin this. Or, at least, don't spin it to me because I find it offensive anyone would think I'm ****** enough to swallow this as being their only option. You should too.
To be fair, who was this 168 fighter who would have been willing to fight GGG in September? Zurdo went down with injury. To many, if GGG had secured a fight against an unknown 168, he most likely would have faced criticism on that too. I'm not justifying the mismatch...& I will continue to label it a mismatch. But it feels pointless to criticize when I'm having a hard time myself coming up with another quality fighter who would not only be willing to fight GGG, but do it in September. I'm not even all that sure that Lara would have signed to fight then either...& it would be a guarantee that negotiations would take a long time with a Haymon fighter. Can't let GGG be inactive for another month.

After the GGG/Brook fight, I guarantee everyone goes silent again...or plays hard to get...& that will be for a December bout. Once again, talking the talk isn't the same as walking the walk. Why didn't Lara's team pursue GGG?...shouldn't you be asking that question?

Read the dozen-or-so current threads on this subject.....

..... what do you see ?

The genuine boxing fans who like Golovkin..... are disappointed with his selection of Brook, and they do not support this fight at all..... mostly because of the hypocrisy displayed by Team Golovkin over the Canelo/Khan situation, but also because Team Bull****'s excuses are wearing more-than-a-little thin.

Now..... look at what you, and the other tards, are posting ? LMAO

              Sucks to be you man.

But a champion with 3 belts can't find a quality opponent due to ducking?...that should be a part of the narrative at least. I think Hearn & Matchroom really didn't want to lose out on that GGG monies, so they swung for the fences by offering Brook the same contract. Surprise to everyone, Brook's past callout of GGG was no joke. As far as situation goes, GGG was going to be bashed no matter who he got. I would have preferred Eubank Jr or Lara sure, but we got Brook...& only because I think K2 didn't want to do another 3 weeks negotiating with some new outfit.

                1) they could have simply selected a better opponent

                2) for how many more years will you accept those piss-weak excuses ?

ANY fighter at 168. Let's not pretend people wouldn't recognize that he's moving up in weight and afford him a little leeway in tuning up to a new division. Come on, you seem like you're smart enough not to believe any of these excuses you're coming up with to defend the guy. He's not your kin, he's never done anything for you and doesn't know you exist. Why make up all these excuses for him? Fans are the ones paying his bills. Demand better!

If I frittered away all my time negotiating with one distributor and fked over my clients by not having a backup, I could not go to my customers and say, "Sorry, I didn't have any choice." They woudl just leave and find someone more competent. Fans should do the same. The smart ones are.

I don't like GGG/Canelo fighting Brook/Khan at all, but that doesn't mean it makes sense for them to fight Lara instead. He brings to money whatsoever.

Golovkin didn't select Brook, he was offered the fight by Brook's promoter. Eddie Hearn made this match, not K2 and GGG.

Any boxing fan who is disappointed with a pro fighter for not turning down a bumper pay day for a fight he is hot favourite to win is one sandwich short of a picnic.
