But DiBella is Lara's manager. Did something change? How come the quote from Lara's manager hasn't any weight in the conversation?

It would probably be easier if you capture the tweet as an image, then post the image.

Dibella is a promoter, not a manager. He's never been Lara's promoter or manager. Lara's with Decubas and Haymon. That's it. Mayweather promotions promoted his last fight.

And you're not the first boxing fan to notice that. Also, he's not the only boxer who does that to GGG...

Dibella & Decubas...names are kinda similar. But eww, Showtime & Haymon...well, that clears it up. No wonder Lara never really had a shot on getting the GGG fight. And he's making quite a bit of noise despite knowing that Eubank Jr was supposed to get the fight...notice he wasn't making a ton of noise about it then. He's only mad because Brook got the fight before him. He should be advising his managers to pursue negotiations hard. Talking & tweeting isn't going to automatically get him the fight.

Calling GGG out on twitter, & actually telling his team to pursue the GGG fight are 2 different things. All boxing fans should poo poo mismatches...but this wasn't for want of trying. 4 boxers, count em, 4...4 boxers ducked GGG..& that was just in this round of negotiations to find an opponent. After the GGG/Brook fight, I guarantee everyone goes silent again...or plays hard to get...& that will be for a December bout. Once again, talking the talk isn't the same as walking the walk. Why didn't Lara's team pursue GGG?...shouldn't you be asking that question?

Golovkin was also the first name out of his mouth after the Vanes fight.

Golovkin is the one with the exclusive HBO contract. He's the one in constant contact with HBO. He's the one with the locations on hold. He's the one that knows how much there's in the pool. Lara just can't make an offer because HBO's GGG exclusivity prevents Haymon from having any say.

K2 knows Lara is interested. That's all Lara can do until K2 decides that Lara is an option.

Ggg is not the victim here.
Although GGG/Brook is absolutely a mismatch, a footnote to that result should read that GGG's top 4 options ducked him. 4. That's a huge number for one of the more popular boxers in the sport. Even mid-level WW's can get 1 of their top 2 options...someone like Provod can get the 1st option no problem. But a champion with 3 belts can't find a quality opponent due to ducking?...that should be a part of the narrative at least. I think Hearn & Matchroom really didn't want to lose out on that GGG monies, so they swung for the fences by offering Brook the same contract. Surprise to everyone, Brook's past callout of GGG was no joke. As far as situation goes, GGG was going to be bashed no matter who he got. I would have preferred Eubank Jr or Lara sure, but we got Brook...& only because I think K2 didn't want to do another 3 weeks negotiating with some new outfit.

None of that is GGG's fault. Sounds to me like a lot of politics is preventing anything quality from happening. The true victims are the fans.

That's just an apology. If K2 can't do better than Brook then they are the saddest sacks in boxing. They let Hearn bail on Eubank negotiations and went with what worked better for Hearn. Completely ignored 168, which GG was supposedly going to do next. All a bunch of talk. He's fighting a lifetime Welter who has 1 good fight to his name. Quit trying to spin this. Or, at least, don't spin it to me because I find it offensive anyone would think I'm ****** enough to swallow this as being their only option. You should too.
