Dibella is a promoter, not a manager. He's never been Lara's promoter or manager. Lara's with Decubas and Haymon. That's it. Mayweather promotions promoted his last fight.Comment

Dibella & Decubas...names are kinda similar. But eww, Showtime & Haymon...well, that clears it up. No wonder Lara never really had a shot on getting the GGG fight. And he's making quite a bit of noise despite knowing that Eubank Jr was supposed to get the fight...notice he wasn't making a ton of noise about it then. He's only mad because Brook got the fight before him. He should be advising his managers to pursue negotiations hard. Talking & tweeting isn't going to automatically get him the fight.Comment

He has been calling out pussie g since he won his last fight a few months ago get your fuucking facts straight. And if you say some dumb shyt like I;m not being truthful I will link you where Lara is calling out pussie g at 160 when NEITHER had a fight signed and Canelo vacated his belt.
If you want to get body bagged respond with some dumb shyt.Comment

Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas - WBA junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (22-2-2, 13KOs) is not surprised with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's decision to vacate the WBC middleweight championship.
This past Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, WBA/IBO junior middleweight world champion Erislandy 'The American Dream' Lara (23-2-2, 13KOs) successfully defended his titles with a hard-fought twelve round unanimous decision over Vanes "The Nightmare" Martirosyan.
Golovkin was also the first name out of his mouth after the Vanes fight.
Golovkin is the one with the exclusive HBO contract. He's the one in constant contact with HBO. He's the one with the locations on hold. He's the one that knows how much there's in the pool. Lara just can't make an offer because HBO's GGG exclusivity prevents Haymon from having any say.
K2 knows Lara is interested. That's all Lara can do until K2 decides that Lara is an option.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 07-09-2016, 07:47 PM.Comment

It's bigger than that. It's Golovkin taking on a guy who is two weight classes below him after bashing Canelo for doing something similar. We've heard all this phony talk from team ggg about fighting at 168 soon, then THIS. He absolutely should get reamed for this fight, by the fans and by other fighters as well. Ggg is not the victim here.Comment

Although GGG/Brook is absolutely a mismatch, a footnote to that result should read that GGG's top 4 options ducked him. 4. That's a huge number for one of the more popular boxers in the sport. Even mid-level WW's can get 1 of their top 2 options...someone like Provod can get the 1st option no problem. But a champion with 3 belts can't find a quality opponent due to ducking?...that should be a part of the narrative at least. I think Hearn & Matchroom really didn't want to lose out on that GGG monies, so they swung for the fences by offering Brook the same contract. Surprise to everyone, Brook's past callout of GGG was no joke. As far as situation goes, GGG was going to be bashed no matter who he got. I would have preferred Eubank Jr or Lara sure, but we got Brook...& only because I think K2 didn't want to do another 3 weeks negotiating with some new outfit.Comment
