That's definitely true. But wasn't that what Fury said word for word? And people still didn't give him a chance.

Fighters can say what they want, it still doesn't change things. Tyson is the champ, he beat the man. But his path there and subsequent issues now don't lend him any credit. Instead of taking about retirement he should be looking to cement a legacy by at least fighting the best around or coming up. He hasn't done that besides old boring Wlad. I'm not sold on his skills, but if he would actually try to fight other top guys he'd be much more credible. Respect for the Wlad win, but old champions fade, decline and lose when they stay around to long. That doesn't make Fury a great fighter, just a fighter with great timing. Should he proceed to fight the best in the division I will be happy to give him his credit as I've done Wlad.

No doubt JAB5239 was one of the guys who claimed that Wlad would KO Fury in the first round.

I think these people just rubbish Fury because he made their predictions for the first fight look ******.

I also dislike the talk of retirement etc, but I think it's all for show. Fury clearly wants to fight Wilder and Joshua too. As has been confirmed by Hearn multiple times and he went to the U.S to confront Wilder. That was cool.

But right now he's tied down to fight Klitschko. Wilder keeps fighting fighters outside the top 15, so you can't say he's doing better than Fury and Joshua is on the rise, still no solid top 10 fighters.

But hopefully they will all meet and we can see who the best is.

Nobody knows what Fury wants, maybe he doesn't even know himself. The guy is bipolar, a nutcase. As JAB points out, he still needs to prove himself as a real champion and everybody knows it.

Well he's the only "real" champion in the division right now. Let's get it right, neither joshua or wilder were running towards Klitschko. Fury RAN towards Klitschko and told everyone what he'd do and did it.

Does he need to beat Klitschko twice to prove anything? no.

Does he need to beat/fight everyone else to cement champion status? Obviously.

I'm not saying he shouldn't fight him again. But if he hadn't signed a contract, I don't think many people would say he had to fight Klitschko again to make us believe it, especially given the manner he beat him. With ease.

Still salty about him beating your hero like it was a sparring session
