You're not really a fan if you don't understand why Canelo did what he did.

Canelo is the A side like Oscar was when he put a catchweight on Hopkins.

Difference being Hopkins understood he was the B side and dropped a few pounds then dropped Oscar.

GGG is such a small MW but couldn't drop a few pounds to make the fight of his career.

You're not really a fan of boxing if you need one guy to tilt the advantages in his favor. But then again, most mayweather fans aren't.

If Canelo unifies 154 while Golovkin unifies 160, it'd be awesome. I think Eubank & Dereveyanchenko are better fights for GGG anyways, plus he'll have Saunders & Jacobs. Meanwhile Canelo has J-Rock/Charlo and Andrade/Lara winners.

I don't blame Tom for trying to preserve that Gennadys 0 for as long as possible. Lets face it though GGG only does less than 100k PPV buys so this fight could definitely be bigger. Nobody bought the Golovkin PPV yet they want to B&M that Canelo needs to fight him asap. The Khan fight probably does better numbers when its all said and done. Folks in here want Canelo to take a pay cut to fight a Golovkin that wants to dictate terms like an A side

I defended him even when he vacated, thinking that they would still make the fight in September, silly mistake.

Canelo may be the a-side but it takes two to make the biggest fight in boxing which this is.... I can understand if he asked a lower weight just to posture and get more money but not to delay the fight a whole year.
