Hopkins was recognised as the undisputed champ.

A-side is the guy that makes more money. Lil G will still be on regular HBO until/if he is gifted a Canelo fight. Lil G will always be the B side to Canelo.

Bad week for Mexican sports fans. The national team gets ****d SEVEN-NIL by Chile at Copa America. And now Canelo refuses to step up and reclaim the WBC title he dropped like a diva Business Boxer.

I don't know, but looking at the time and effort these goons devote to it, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Difference being Hopkins understood he was the B side and dropped a few pounds then dropped Oscar.

GGG is such a small MW but couldn't drop a few pounds to make the fight of his career.

This delay had nothing to do with catch weights-- Canelo did not want to fight him period-- despite calling him into the ring and saying at his last post fight press conference that his team would make GGG an offer for the fight-- which never happened (not surprising).

If all GB wanted to make the fight happen was have GGG fight below 160, we would have had a fight announcement by now.

It is GB who are putting off the fight, not GGG's team. Money, catchweight have nothing to do with it. The following link explains everything

A Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin showdown has been tabled until at least the fall of 2017, a decision agreed to after the sides met Monday.

I supported Canelo because I thought he was negotiating in good faith to make this fight happen. I assumed things got temporarily held up because of the court case and now we were going to proceed full steam ahead.

              I was obviously wrong.

What the hell happened to Mexicans don't fuck around???

Exactly! There is zero mention of the fight not happening due to weight--- its GB who are postponing/ delaying / ducking the fight so Canelo can apparently grow into 160, despite the fact he is LINEAL MW champion--- God what a joke boxing is

Nobody bought the Golovkin PPV yet they want to B&M that Canelo needs to fight him asap. The Khan fight probably does better numbers when its all said and done. Folks in here want Canelo to take a pay cut to fight a Golovkin that wants to dictate terms like an A side

What terms did GGG dictate?? Money? No Location of fight? No
When Canelo held the WBC Middleweight title hostage, GGGs only demand was to to fight at 160- which was in the rules of the WBC constitution since you can't force a catchweight on a mandatory challenger

After Canelo vacated, GGGs camp said weight was negotiable and they were open to going down, yet GB is asking to delay til the fall of 2017 with no verbal agreement.

I'm convinced Tom Loeffler is a f'ing idiot..how many times do you need to have a promise broken before you say "Fk you!" I think i'm looking at this Golovkin situation a little differently right now because its clear as hell right now Loeffler just ain't the man for the job. Someone get Arum on this a.s.a.p to steal him from K2. Four years, four years of promises and every single last one by a relevant promoter flat out broken and you are talking about building up fights for next year..g t f o h. Open up that check book and make it happen or let that man go sign with someone else.
