Why would Oscar be upset? This is a hail mary attempt to steal away a fighter that was destined and rumored to sign with Haymon almost 3 years ago. It will be Haymon or Mayweather that will be upset if they let this fighter slip away. We were told the moment his legal dispute was over it was forgone conclusion he was going to be on PBC cards. It's now been months and still he ain't ink with them. There is something going on that don't add up. Garcia is Haymon's fighter to lose.

Who has Golden Boy launched since Oscar took over actually running Golden Boy? How many dates has Golden Boy actually been able to secure on HBO? How many fight cards has Golden Boy even had on TV this year?

Haymon has the TV dates to work with; depending on what Mikey Garcia is looking for, pay-wise on the first fight back, Haymon has enough dates to put Mikey Garcia on TV three times before the year is out; tuneup late July/early August, 2nd fight in October, third fight around Christmas.

Oscar can easily get Mikey Garcia not two but 3 dates on TV and am pretty sure HBO is in it.... Golden Boy has being HBOs Favorite fighter/Promotional company for years till the slime Shaefer took all GBP's figters to Showtime and eventually to Haymon.

Mikey should be better off signing with GBP for his own future, and exposure, nothing Haymon/Mayweather can offer tops being in an undercard of Canelo and in HB the F***ing O. you can sign that and put it in the bank.

Which is exactly why I thought he would fly with Haymon, like Khan did.....

Either a fight-by-fight contract (like Mayweather had with GBP), or a 12month (2 fight) contract, would be fine..... he just wants to avoid being tied down for years and pimped-out, like with Arum.
