A few things.

1. Spence started boxing late.

2. He only had like 50 or 60 amatuer fights. So no he does'nt have an extensive amatuer background.

3. People rush fighters too much these days and wonder why not many fighters have long world title reigns. The answer is a lack of ring expirience and I just don't mean the number of fights. I'm talking being in there with guys who come to win and give you different looks/styles. Spence basicly fought 19 guys who were there to get their ass kicked and one guy who was there to win but fought in a way that could'nt of been more tailor made for Spence than if someone was trying to make it easy for him.

4. Fighters need to be brought along properly and throwing Spence straight in with Thurman or Brook right now is just dumb.

What you talking about he was amateur standout at the age of 18. Then fought in the olympics. There are tons of fighters who don't have this type of amateur and olympic background and less pro experience but are facing better competition by this same age. HE DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE SEASONING. Canelo is younger with nowhere near the amateur background and been fighting elite and top fighters for years.

No he's not. Sure he's a full WW but he's never been a world champ and is 41 years old. He's not on ESPN, RING or anybody credible top 10 ranking for ANY weight for a reason. He is a middle of the road journey man. Algieri has quality wins of named fighters, was world champ and been in with more top fighters. After that win Spence should be stepping it up and fighting a legit top 10 ranked fighter and Bundu isn't that.

With the fighters in Haymon's stable there is no need to jump through hoops and fight a bum like Bundu when haymon has multiple world champs at 147 and loads of higher ranked fighters then Bundu.

why are you people blaming haymon and spence? lol hes going for the ibf, they typically follow their rules i.e kells bum mandatories.. this is what he has to do to get brook.. Ponomarov didnt wanna fight spence

Haymon doesn't talk to the media so these fighters are forced to jump on the sword and make excuses why the fights are happening. What do you want them to say Haymon won't let me and throw their boss under the bus? Thurman said every fight he get's slid a list of a couple fighters to choose from. Haymon chooses that list and he has to pick from it. And specifically Thurman after getting heavy criticism said for the Collazo fight I got passed a list with just one name Collazo so that's why I am fighting him. Spence is calling out Brook because Haymon is the one who mapped out that path for the IBF title that brook has. But why is that needed? Again Haymon fighters Danny and Thurman own the other belts. Spence don't need any eliminator for a title shot just Haymon's blessing. Hell if the fighters were TRULY the ones blocking this fight from happening then why didn't Haymon position Spence to make the fights needed to become the mando for Garcia's belt or Thurman's belt? Instead he set him on a path specifically for IBF belt held by a non Haymon champion. It's not rocket science he is keeping his top fighters away from each other or delaying it as long as possible. In the meantime they passing around each other left overs.

I'm saying there is NO GUARANTEE he get's brook. So why fight another bum when his allegiance with Haymon should ensure he could get a title shot now or at least a bigger fight with any the dozen or so higher ranked Haymon fighters. And that he has been specifically steered to the IBF belt because the champ is a non haymon fighter and delays or prevents Haymon having to pit his top fighters against one another. He could of been steered to any of the 2 belts Haymon fighters currently hold if he wanted a mando (not that he would even need one if Haymon wanted them to fight). Why wasn't he? And what if Brook vacates and moves up to 154? Or what if Brook convinces IBF to keep delaying that fight and then fights Khan and has the excuse I'm vacating for a bigger money fight? So Spence gets another pointless fight when he could have title shot now or at least a top 10 contender now.

But why is he calling out Brook when Haymon has the deepest stable at welterweight and controls 2 belt holders. Shouldn't those be the easiest fights to make? Brook will be a tough fight to make because of politics and agenda from Brook's promoter. I thought the point of haymon having all these guys was supposed to eliminate stop gaps and make these fights easy to make. Spence don't call the shots he was steered to the IBF mando and that's why he is calling out Brook. But why wasn't he steered to WBC (owned by Garcia) or WBA (owned by Thurman) if it's all about forcing a mando?

Dude Canelo started boxing at age 13 and turned pro at 15 and started fighting grown azz men with no head gear. Had less amateur experience and was pushed up facing better pro fighters faster then Spence has been despite his amateur and Olympic experience. Look at lomachencho and how fast he moved as a pro and he's only a year or two younger. Spence is not some young pup or inexperience fighter he's 26 and faced world class fighters at the amateur and olmypics. and how the phuk is 1 fight with Bundu going to change a thing? Either he is ready to fight guys like Brook now or he isn't. If your point is he is too inexperienced (which he's not) and needs another year or 2 to fight Brook, Thurman, Porter, Khan, ect that's one thing. But that's not what you are saying. It's just a pointless stay busy fight against a bum bundu.

Spence needs a bigger jump up in the caliber of fighters then Bundu. I'm not even saying his next fight has to be Thurman for the title. But here is a BIG gap between Brook, Thurman, Porter and Bundu lol. He could at least fight a top 10 contender between that gap. One top 10 contender at the age of 26 with Spence's olympic background is not asking for too much and definitely not pushing him too fast.

Decent fight...another guy who went 12 with a title holder..lets see if Spence blows this guy out too and makes another statement...after this fight, he's ready for the big time...I would absolutely love to see him dismantle Danny Garcia...
