Comments Thread For: Errol Spence-Leonard Bundu Title Eliminator Ordered By IBF

I brought up lomachencko to point out from a pro stand point very few fights but he didn't need it because he fought at such a high level as an amateur and in the olympics and turned pro at age 25. Spence based age, his olympic pedigree and the level he fought as an amateur at the highest level in the US system fighting the best amateur fighters here and internationally and his age 26 and he's already had 20 pro fights all of which he won easily IS READY FOR A STEP UP. You in one sentence complain that we should discount his first 19 fights because it was bad competition and then say he needs more fights but refuse to request he take a step up in competition in his next fight? That makes no sense. And how is one fight against Bundu going to drastically change his experience? He is schedule to fight Brooks next so if he's so inexperienced and green right now like you want to pretend will he magically be experienced based on fighting a 41 year old bum Bundu? F outta here.
There is a long list of great fighters who did not have the amateur and olympic background, were younger and needed fewer years as a pro before they stepped up and faced better fighters then Spence. Asking him to fight just 1 top 10 ranked fighter is too much? To pretend that Spence is some raw young fighter is a joke.

Blame the organizational rankings, he wanted brook not bundu. He called him out, he called out a lot of higher guys but his risk/reward wasn't good and until he get a belt any way he can its going to stay that way. The IBF is pretty clear about mandatory fights so unless the winner of vargas-brook drops it or fights bradley he's next.

He's basically #2 behind Bradley for the WBO belt, since Manny is retired.
The WBC and the WBA have him ranked 5 & 7....
Khan will probably fight Danny next, since Khan's ranked 1. Thurman or Porter will have to fight avanesyan. So unless Brook or Vargas fight Bradley next, which is possible, the quickest route to a title for Spence is via the ibf. Even if the unified champ fought Bradley next, Spence would become the mandatory afterwards.
It seems pretty cut and dry to me. It's not haymons fought, you should blame the organizational rankings.
IBF and the rest are all crooks we get that but I thought Haymon having all these fighters in house meant it would be easier for them to fight one another? Instead they aren't fighting and Haymon is steering them away from each other. Already talks of Danny fighting Berto next. And Spence against Bundu. Why not they fight each other?

Haymon has too many guys who are all not fighting each other instead are passing around their left overs. Instead of Spence fighting Thurman/Porter (winner or loser) he is going to fight Thurmans left overs in Bundu? Instead of fighting Khan he fights Khan's left over in Algieri. Instead of Thurman fighting Khan last year Thurman fights Khan's left over in Collazo. Instead of Danny fighting Thurman/Porter he fights Porters left over in Paulie and Thurman's left overs in Guerrero. Instead of Broner fighting Danny he fights Danny's leftovers in Theophane.
Nobody else see's a problem with all these guys at the same weight and instead of fighting each other they just keep fighting the same bums they each beat the year before in noncompetitive fights?

Stop using that as an excuse to rant on Al Haymon.

This is a good fight. Bundu isn't a push over at all. I expect Spence to win, however. Hopefully he gets the winner of Vargas-Brook next.

Algeri was supposed to be the mando to get to brook....then they put another mando in with the Russian...he punked-out...and now it's Bundu..who is tougher than Algeri and the Russian.
Brook might tuck tail and run to 154.
