Just read your opening post, you have 0 faith in his yet want him to be called great somehow, he turned pro at 24...how many divisions did Mayweather and Manny move up from when they were 24?? hell Broner has moved up after 24..GGG NEVER HAS TO MOVE UP IF HE DOESNT WANT TO BUT DAMN STOP GIVING HIM UNDESERVED PRAISE WHILE SLAMMING OTHERS...
You're using an arbitrary school of thinking, and not actually looking at his situation for what it is. He doesn't have to move up, because someone else did. HIs body isn't Floyd or Manny's. His weight isn't Floyd or Manny's. His style of fighting isn't Floyd or Manny's.

When I say he's already moved up, I don't mean that in the literal sense. I'm saying that his body has already reached it's limits, like how when Floyd and Manny moved up, they reached their limits. He just didn't move up a bunch of weights to have to do it. And he's 34. If he's still coming into the ring as a small MW now, then what exactly do you want him to do? Lift weights, and eat a crap ton to be even a really small 168 lb. fighter come fight night?

    Exactly what is your point?

And who the hell said he's the second coming of Jesus in the ring? This is addressed towards the other side of the GGG fan spectrum.

Well if he can't get a good fight at 160 I say he should move up eventually.

Fighting guys he knew he could beat. Rather than guys he wasn't sure he could (Ward).

Funny. Khan's "correct" division is actually 140. Yet he went up to 154 to face Canelo. He took that risk knowing full well he'd KTFO.

I don't like Khan, but you have to respect those balls. That's what G lacks. Nuts.

It's not about age, that's an excuse. Roy Jones started at LMW and was Cruiser in his 40's. Don't tell me G can't do that, that's BS. He doesn't want to - and that's fine. It's also fine for him to be good in one weight class. But then he gets no pass for never fighting those that were in the class that G ducked (Ward).

Khan filled out very well at 154, and he's even longer than GGG. And GGG is just that much better than guys at 154, or at least the ones that are willing to face him. Why does he have to move up? This thread isn't that he shouldn't move up at all. It's that he's barely a legit MW. Don;t act like he's Canelo, and he's making up weight classes to avoid the guys in his division, and that he's bastardizing the sport by not fighting at the correct weight limit.

Moral of the story is, he doesn't have an obligation to move up, because he's not physically bigger than the MWs to where he's gaming the system.

Like I said before. If you want him to move up and do a Floyd, or a Manny, then have him fight some big name, past their prime, not even natural SMW's themselves fighters, and he'd be "daring to be great" like Floyd and Manny.

When I'm being sarcastic, I'm not discounting their achievements, I'm putting into perspective what the deal really is.

Go back and read. That's NOT what boliodogs said. He basically admitted he's afraid of GGG getting beat by better fighters, and that's why he doesn't want him to move up at all - because he wants GGG to keep winning.

That's a damn shame and you know it. We're not talking whether he "has" to move up. But the reality is, if he doesn't fight someone in a higher weight class and prefers to keep calling out welters, he will never be an ATG. That's the problem.

"I have no desire to see him risk defeat be fighting above his best weight."

You really twisted that into something else.

Just like he doesn't want GGG fighting above his best weight class, and possibly losing to another great fighter due to size, is the same way you guys call people crazy for wanting to see Floyd fight GGG at MW.

                You're not getting it?

So basically, GGG, already at his limit in terms of weight, has to move up, and fight a naturally bigger MONSTER like Ward?

So, then Floyd should move up to MW, and fight GGG then. Cool?

That's like asking Floyd to move up to 154, and fighting a Ward caliber fighter at the age of 34. I don't care what Abel said. I'm telling it how it is.

Fascinating, you can sub the words GGG for Ward and Canelo for GGG and look what happens!

Show a little consistency guys. Canelo is no different than GGG in this scenario and look at GGG already making plans at 168. I'll say again, I don't care if he moves up now, but I think it's childish how the fans are faulting Canelo for behaving just like GGG.

The reason certain posters slam GGG is because of his fans, the exact same posters who never gave Floyd credit treat GGG LIKE GOD FOR DOING FAR FAR FAR LESS!!! I have no issue with GGG but i post certain **** because of his biased ass fans who slam fa more successful fighters and praise every damn thing GGG does..NO HE DOES NOT HAVE TO MOVE UP BUT YA'LL DEMANDED WARD MOVE UP!!! WANTED A 39 YEAR OLD MAYWEATHER TO FIGHT ****ING GGG BUT SAID GGG DOES NOT HAVE TO FIGHT WARD!!!!!. Why do ya'll ignore the ignorant **** that is associated with GGG?

Its pretty different dude. Unlike Canelo Ggg doesn't blow up 20lbs fight night, he makes weight with room to spare. He hasn't spent 3 years fighting at 161, hasn't won a SMw belt and forfeited to his mando. All kinds of different
