"DLH is a star and Hatton is not allowed to bend down to tie DLH's shoelaces."

After Hatton kills collazo, moves on to another better fighter, and kills him to, ur gonna regret saying that.

imo DLH should only have 3 loses, the first mosley fight and the sturm and hopkins fight, 2 of his loses were in a weight class he couldnt really handle and shane mosley just got the better of him that night, other then that i think he should won every other fight he has hade

            Oh please.

You're living on a delusional fantasy island. If you actually think Ricky could ever be the draw Oscar is...you're wrong.

            He's a badass, and a guy that I like....but let's get real.

He fought his first five fights in the states, and has yet to return. Just now he takes interest in fighting here, and his first fight is against a little known fighter that couldn't possibly help his cause as an attraction.

He could "kill" every fighter that isin't in his leauge, and you'd still keep missing the point.

Oscar is the man in boxing. He's one of the most decorated and accomplished fighters this era, and is a serious PPV sensation...something Ricky will never be, unless he in fact defeated Oscar in a fight.

Everyone knows Ricky could have fought Augustus, and the fight would have been fan friendly. Once again, he chose to fight Luis Collazo and that could not help his reputation in the States.

Ricky is already a huge attraction in England, so you'd better put an asterisk by that fact when discussing his "star credibility".

Oscar is, and will always be ten times the star Ricky is.

Everyone thinks DLH is gonna kill Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga is an acomplished fighter. There is no way Mayorga isnt gonna put up the fight of his life. When Moyarga fights his best... he wins. His major losses were very early in his career... you cant blame him for that.

The only advantage DLH has is "in-ring experience." Mayorga has like 34 fights or something and DLH has a little over 40 fights. Mayorga has a better KO% though.

I actually want DLH to win though, because i wanna see DLH vs Mayweather, and the only way thats gonna happen is if DLH wins. But that doesnt make De La Hoya probably THE most over-rated fighter of ALL-TIME!!! Not even exagerating. THE media hyped him to much ever since he beat Julio Cesar Chavez by TKO. That was his only amazing fight

I HATE THIS GUY!!!! MOST OVER-RATED FIGHTER OF ALL TIME!!!! EVER!!! ARG!!!
Oscar has a better KO% for your information. Overrated my ass, only fighter in history to win titles in 6 weight divisions. Started at 130 and fought Hopkins in his last bout. Mayweather is already looking weak at 147, no way that he even tries 154. De La Hoya is the biggest boxing office attraction other than Mike Tyson for the last 10 years. He fought bums on PPV and still had 500,000 buyrates.

DLH is one of the greatest fighters in the past 20 yrs no doubt. Like all the other great fighters he had some bad fights, like the Sweet Pea, Sturm, fights all the other fights he had he looked great.

No arguments with that although it is all down to media portrayal. Oscar has ben portrayed since day 1 as a gold medal winner, american dream etc. A lot of his fans support the guy over his fights. He has always been a celebrity other than just a boxer. Ricky Hatton doesn't have the charisma or the background to be held in the same esteem particularly from a US audience.

He has been in the ring with the best of them and there is no question he's an excellent fighter. However with the question of being overrated I think oscars status does tend to make him slightly overrated in most peoples eyes.

I think maybe the reason some people have a slight dislike for him, regardless of his boxing achievements, is that sometimes he reminds me of an actor, the way he plays up to the cameras and has some sort of self-conscious contemporary arrogance that can annoy people. Hard to say he hasn't earned the right to that sort of arrogance...

He's still one of the best boxers in the modern era, and that is undeniable. Belts in 6 weight classes? ****!
