"It is totally classes to go into detail about a fighters past and start talking bad about his accomplishments"It is without doubt totally classless and tasteless to go into details about a fighters past and start talking bad about his accomplishments and the praise he gets.
It boils down to jealousy. Any fighter starting to ridicule previous fighters are tasteless.
It's fine if you don't think so, but there's a reason why he was heavily criticized all over the world for those comments.
What a hilarious statment. So I guess anyone who doesn't heavily praise Ali is classless and tastless then.
Anyone on this planet is entitled to their opinion and it's not "classless" to critisize a boxer for one pr however many of their fights.
Mayweather could have said I think Muhammad Ali is a terrible fighter and I don't rate him at all and it still wouldn't be tasteless or classless.Comment

Why is it hilarious? Do you not understand that I'm not talking about Mayweather's assessment of Ali's skills, but rather the fact that he's ridiculing his victories and is saying Ali shouldn't get praise or be glorified? Belittling his accomplishments. That's the tasteless part."It is totally classes to go into detail about a fighters past and start talking bad about his accomplishments"

The last sentence is literally what I said a couple of pages ago.Comment

Floyd is the man in Boxing right now and all he does is give a small cookie cutter response?Comment

What's the difference between assessing his skills and assessing his victories? He doesn't rate the victory or performance as high as others. So?Why is it hilarious? He's saying IN HIS OPINION the way he performed shouldn't be glorified, again, in his opinion.
Nothing tastless about either statment literally just a personal opinion on a fighter.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 06-04-2016, 06:18 AM.Comment

According to who??? Ali used his status to manipulate and repress his race and impose his racist, white-hating, black supremacist views. People let it slide because he was charismatic. A lot of his views were ****** as fuck.
He was a decent boxer, excellent trash talker and race war provoker.Comment

Ali paved the way for not only Floyd but all African American athletes. I don't have a problem with what Floyd said. He's giving Ali his propersComment

Floyd is right. Everyone blindly loves Ali and doesn't want to use critical thinking when it comes to him for some reason. The truth is, Ali was a decent boxer who was excellent at talking trash and riling up black people against white people. A real cultural hero is Martin Luther King. Ali took punches for a living. Most of his political views were ******ed as fuck and intentionally controversial because Ali was a narcissist and loved attention. It is without doubt totally classless and tasteless to go into details about a fighters past and start talking bad about his accomplishments and the praise he gets.

Skill wise, Ali did a lot of things wrong .His remarkable chin helped him get through fights in the second half of his career once his speed eroded. When he would get outboxed, he would lay on the ropes like a dope and let his opponent tee off on his cracker-hating black ass in hopes they tired out. Is that skill? LMAO Mayweather is a boxer; I trust his opinion over some nobody on the internet.Comment

Not really.
Ali called other African Americans house niggers and uncle toms if they did not share his hateful views.
He was a decent boxer who abused his status and influence to manipulate his people. When you think about it, he's done more harm than good to black people in America, i.e. encouraging the very aggressiveness, stubbornness, and close-mindedness that is impeding upward mobility in the black community. So far, the most blacks have contributed to society is joining the NBA or NFL or being a rapper.Last edited by punchr; 06-04-2016, 06:47 AM.Comment

Who has ever denied what you wrote? Not me, that's for sure. Except that Ali was a real cultural hero. To deny that is ridiculous. As if there couldn't be more than one great man in that crazy time.
Again, no problem with criticizing someone's skills. But belittling a man and his achievements and saying he shouldn't be praised is low.
Even for Mayweather's ridiculously low standards.Comment
