Quick reminder that Canelo and his team have Allways said that they only fight at 155 because it was non title fight.... he was going after a title at 154 untill Cotto came along...

And you bring up facts like trout having fought half his career non title fights above 154 and for the last 2 years prior to charlo fought at 156 and 157. Yet nobody calls him a middleweight.

Crawford is 5'8 was fighting at lightweight stepping on HBO Unofficial scales weighing in the mid 150s. Not phony rumors of weights that's actually what HBO reported. Crawford just moved up to 140 and still packs on huge weight more then canelo over night and nobody says a thing. Got pics of him standing next to Floyd in street clothes and he makes Floyd look tiny and Floyd fights at 147 and 154 the last 5 years. And nobody complains. This excuse now for canelo is just hater BS

exactly.......this is the point of the thread. many posters came in cursing butt hurt & screaming. throwing insults haha they missed the entire freaking point of the thread. the problem is you can't speak common sense when it comes to certain fighters and golovkin is one of them. for me i don't give a ****. if you are a fanboy of golovkin your feelings will be hurt because not one fat xbox nerd will stop me freaking speaking what i want to type. "oh no you can't say that about ggg! oh no, you're racist! why can't ward canelo mayweather cotto bow down to ggg's demands? everyone is scared thats why & you're an idiot that is clueless about boxing if you don't lick the almighty ggg's taint. why can't why can't why can't"

what the **** have we gotten to in boxing? a bunch of zit faced trout mouth losers who have inferiority complex's. and these are GROWN men.

      haha

lets be realistic about this stuff.
Yup and maidana specifically according to unofficial scales rehydrate to 165 against Floyd and canelo according to those same scales rehydrated to 166 against floyd. Virtually the same despite canelo facing Floyd at a then dictated catch weight of 152. While maidana fought at 147 but weighed 146 the night before. So it's a fact that maidana blew up more weight. Yet NOBODY says maidana is a middleweight or has to fight middleweight and Jr middleweights because of it. It's a bogus arguement ggg fans are using for canelo. There is nothing unusual about it in boxing except for the fake outcry when canelo does it.

He's basically just following suit of being the A-side. De La Hoya used his A-side status meaning Floyd had to accept any De La Hoya demand. Then when Floyd become the A-side, he just did what De La Hoya did to him. So when Canelo become the A-side, he's just doing what Floyd did to him. It's not just Canelo or those guys. Manny did it too, managed to get the likes of Cotto to accept the weight demands and other things.

That's just modern day boxing for you. Canelo isn't the only one. But basically, they're similar size, he can just use his age as an advantage to drain GGG to the point where even after rehydration, GGG would be feeling the effects of it.
dude...... so you mean to tell me that trout is a middleweight because he hydrates at 172? which makes him bigger then ggg?

IF he can make 154lbs why has he done this for the past five fights it makes absolutely no sense at all and yes Cotto at catchweight If you want to make an argument for a dude not being a middleweight then you have a legitimate excuse for Cotto who looked absolutely tiny in comparison to Canelo when they fought.
His fights with Angulo, Kirkland and Lara were all non-title fights. Weight is entirely up to the fighters in those situations. Fighters will fight at their most comfortable weight in those situations. He fought Cotto at a 155 limit which suited Miguel and he defended the belt at the same weight.

According to people around his camp, he's going to be making 154 and fighting there. What will be the issue then?

Again, a maximum weight of 155 is not middleweight.

Golovkin said he'd fight at 168 for Chavez and Froch, but not Ward. Canelo had consistently said he's not fighting at 160 for anybody...yet you have a problem with the latter.
Your lying to yourself if you actually believe that Canelos team will Let him step in the ring with Andrade or the Charlo's. They already got a gift against Lara they wouldn't temptnl fate twice

One Charlo just struggled to beat a clearly faded Trout and the other was well behind on the cards to a top 20 opponent before the stoppage.

None of those guys are on Lara or Canelo's level.

Not going to argue with anything you wrote, there might be a 2% chance they let him fight a Charlo and a 0.0009 % chance they let him fight Boo Boo
