So since he didn't move up to fight Ward, he will never be allowed to move up to 168? SMH

He wanted to unify the 160 division before moving up wich makes sense.

He only had the WBA and IBO belt back when they were in "so called negociations" with Team Ward.

He has grabbed since the Ward "negociations" the IBF and WBC belts now that he beat Lemieux and was avoided again by a WBC champ who this time vacated

I think they're probably wanting to fight Billy Joe Saunders to get that last WBO belt but BJS won't fight him right now IMO.

So it makes more sense for GGG to move up in 2017.

You would have to be BLIND for not understanding those points.

Now that Ward is tied up with moving up in weight and pursuing a Kovalev clash, team GGG is willing to move up to 168 for a fight. Why not do it for Ward? If you are going to say Ward isn't big enough draw like they have been saying, than how do you justify Ramirez being an option? Are they going to say Ramirez is a bigger draw/name than Ward? And I am in no way hating, check my past posts I am a big GGG fan and have never picked against him. I love the fighter but am skeptical about his team, esp the mouth of Abel Sanchez whom I believe does too much talking for a trainer. Triple G is a very hard W for anyone within a weight class or two from him, please just let the man fight.
When Loeffler got that crazy "offer" from Ward last year he rejected it and told him to get back to them after he'd finished his tune-ups, because GGG would be focused on 160 till 2017.

Now Loeffler is talking about GGG fighting Ramirez in 2017 or maybe earlier, due to him picking up up the WBC belt so quickly and without even neeeding to fight for it.

If Ward could still make 168 I'm sure he would be under consideration too. But he's at 175 now, so why keep bringing him up?

The logic some haters use on GGG when applied to others

Damn, Ward was willing to fight Barrera at 175, but Dawson at 168. Should Ward be fighting HW now, they did claim he'd be HW champ by 30.

Damn, Floyd would fight Cotto and De La Hoya at 154, but Canelo had to come to 152.

It sounds just as ****** when applied to others. When k2/GGG wanted Ward it was at 168. 164 was never an offer nor was it real. When Ward wanted to (go on a tour of tune ups) fight GGG in 2015, it would have been at 168. Loeffler said they could revisit it early 2017. Ward now says never.

Odd, it's gonna get early 2017 before GGG fights another fighter at 168.

These haters take comments made over a span of three years and do a juxtaposition as if they all apply now.

yup, thats exactly what they are doing. They don't take in to consideration the timeline. Things/situations always change over time.

That's a common tactic for people who like who start with a conclusion and then find facts to support it, rather than examining all of the facts and then forming a conclusion.

Yes. Arum is using GGG's name to bring attention to Zurdo. GGG has already said he's not interested in that fight. Zurdo is a no name and he's trying to sell Zurdo as the next Mexican warrior. Arum has been doing this for years. Lara has been calling GGG out for two years now and they won't even acknowledge him. Or when they do they say Monroe Jr is a bigger name.

Your logic is off base. Lara has indeed been calling him out for 2 years on social media, yet has made ZERO offers or calls/inquriries to GGGs team or Tom Loeffler to begin negotiations for a potential fight. All talk and no serious intent on Lara's part at all. Pathetic really. IF Lara was serious about fighting GGG, he would have instructed Al Haymon to contact Loeffler to see if a GGG fight could be made, or at the very least-- reached out to GGGs management to gauge interest in negotiations for a possible fight. In 2 years, none of those things have happened- only meaningless calling out on social media to attract attention to himself.

Arum, while using GGGs name HAS been in touch with GGGs promoter Tom Loeffler about making this fight happen. Whether this fight happens remains to be seen, but the most important thing is that at least Arum is directly talking to Tom Loeffler about making this fight happen- and not just saying it on social media.
