He wanted to unify the 160 division before moving up wich makes sense.

He only had the WBA and IBO belt back when they were in "so called negociations" with Team Ward.

He has grabbed since the Ward "negociations" the IBF and WBC belts now that he beat Lemieux and was avoided again by a WBC champ who this time vacated

I think they're probably wanting to fight Billy Joe Saunders to get that last WBO belt but BJS won't fight him right now IMO.

So it makes more sense for GGG to move up in 2017.

You would have to be BLIND for not understanding those points.
Was early 2017 not the same time Team Ward purposed to Team GGG to fight. You can try your damnest to defend GGG but there is no defending K2. K2 makes GGG look bad. Real bad. If GGG goes up to 168 before unifying all belts at 160 there is no defending GGG either when it comes to a Ward fight. If he goes up to 168 and comes back down to 160 after fighting Ramirez he could have done the same thing for Ward. No excuses. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Its a whole lot of fighters I like but under no circumstance could I defend them in a situation like this.

It's easy to say now knowing how the whole Cotto/Canelo/GGG scenario played out. So despite their hypothetical fights taking place seemingly around the same time, it's not quite the same.

Ward is still fighting tune-ups isn't he?

After Ward gets KO'd by Kova, he can move back down to 168 for Triple G to KO him and end his career.

No it's not, would have been even more laughable if he proposed a fight 2 years out

No man, he's moving up to fight Wlad. He's daring to be great...

You're right, BUT, nobody has a cristal ball and it wasn't written that GGG would get the WBC and even the IBF (he had to beat Lemieux, you never know what can happen in a fight) in mid 2016.

GGG has overall unified 160 by now.
He has the WBA super champion belt, WBC, IBF (and IBO).

I agree that if he wants a clean sheet, he still has to beat Saunders for the WBO belt and maybe Jacobs who is the WBA interim champ (if we agree to WBA multiple straps jokes).

Agreed regarding Loeffler, I stated many times GGG should drop Tom and K2.
