As for the resume, i would prefer Saunders or Jacobs. If he can't get one of those then Lara is a good option. But to act like this fight is going to put GGG on the map is laughable, just laughable.
To the second bolded:
How can you make this claim?
It's not putting GGG on the map. But I'd rather watch Lara than Tureano Johnson. Look at the top 5 per belt at 160..come on.. You can't be serious?
We already know Saunders and Jacobs arent going to do it for September. (i had edited my previous post not sure if you saw). Lara is available.. BJs and Jacobs are not.
And your comment about the second in bolded...You think otherwise? You can't possibly think the Charlo brothers have anything to offer Lara after tonight...hell, one arguably lost to Trout... And you wouldnt be implying Liam Smith is better would you? :/

I respect Ward's talent, no doubt. As for Ward Kov I think putting that fight on PPV will be the biggest mistake in history. I'm not even sold it does 75k buys. I will be buying the fight for sure, but to anyone who isn't a hardcore boxing fan, they aren't interested. Trust me i know, been trying to get a fight party lined up, nobody is interested.....

I dunno how you're trying to spin this Canelo thing into a net loss for Ggg, sometimes I wonder how sincere you are. There are obviously posters here paid for their output...

Being known and being popular are different. Lara is a good name in the sport.

Idk I thought he just looked okay tonight. I'm not saying he's not the best, but he definitely hasn't separated himself from the group, if you know what i mean. I expected more......

You yourself doesn't think they'll do 75K buys, which is ridiculous. Fight fans buy good fights. There will be pretty close to a 100% buy rate among hardcore fans for Ward-Kovalev. A lotta hardcore fans passed on GGG-Lemieux. And when you're not a crossover star like a Floyd, Manny, and to a lesser extent Canelo. Not getting a huge percentage of the hardcore community kills your numbers. Which is why GGG-Lemieux was a PPV bust. GGG hasn't reached a point where he doesn't need the full support of the hardcore community to sell.
To the bolded:
It definitely was not a bust. You keep using different sources for the PPV buys(which is extremely lame btw), but I've always gone with ESPN so i'm using the 150k buys. While that might sound small(agreed), it was enough for the purses of the fighters.

Sanchez doesn't want Lara, nor Mora. They're complicated fights, and if he were so confident he'd jump at the chance. The pickings are getting slim in the MW div if you keep coming up with excuses. GGG should just do it, if he thinks he actually can. Anything else is a duck.

Which is also something GGG hasn't been willing to do.
Key word almost.... After Pacquiao he started doing over a million buys as the A-side. Which is a sign of a HUGE STAR. Over a mill, and you've become something big. Agreed with the rest of it until the last bolded.
Where is the proof for this? I'm not sure how you can make this statement.
