Malignaggi has flappy lips - he should think before he flaps.

But we are about to find out who is the best at 175

IF Ward fights Kovalev in Sept, and IF he beats him, then yes, by all means, talk about him being the P4P king.

Too many people in the States and at this site are talking like those things have already happened though.

sit your simple azz down. Dude landed less than 20% and barely hit him clean with a power punch. stop reaching

of course his timing wasnt where he wants it to be, but do people criticize anyone else's defense when they have an opponent land 15%

        only on NSB

WHY IS GGG TOP 3 P4P AND HE NEVER BEAT ANYONE ELITE? NOT 4 YEARS AGO OR 4 MONTHS AGO
Dude, you're bipolar. You go from posting intelligent, well thought out, reasonable arguments to becoming a 14 year old emo kid. Relax.

Yes, I watched the fight. Twice. During the fight, I was commenting on these very forums how insanely lumbering and slow Barrera looked.

There was one headbutt that caused the cut. Ward's face is marked up ALL over. Barrera landed a lot of jabs. The connect percentage is deceiving as well, since his workrate was almost double that of Ward. He knew Ward's defense is great, so he chose quantity over quality.

You didn't actually criticize anything I posted. So what exactly do you have a problem with?

And this thread is not about Golovkin, but about Ward.

Does getting marked up disqualify you from being p4p number 1?

Cause I remember pacquiao's face after the clottey fight. Didn't change my mind about pacquiao one bit.

Ward is doing what most boxing champs aren't doing, that's taking risk and challenging himself. You don't here that "if the money is right" or "the other fighter talk to much" or "let me clear out my division first" and "he need to build up his name then we can fight" lame excuses we been hearing lately.

            Oh, and catch weight queens!

The only decent punches Barrera landed were jabs, he got a few straight rights in when Ward was trying to time a check left hook.

You would have thought he was getting hit pretty good by your post. I was amazed Ward's D was as good as it was. Barrera was missing by millimeters.

I brought up GGG because you explained how Ward isnt p4p, cool. Some people dont even have him top 5 or top ten because of inactivity. Yet GGG is top 3 and never beat an elite fighter. If ward isnt #1 cool....but IMO he is currently the most skilled, versatile fighter in the game. p4p is becoming more about preference and your last few fights not overall ability and resume.

my point is at least we saw Ward beat elite guys...period....GGG hasnt and he is supposed to be top 3 p4p

                164.....killed it

how can someone who was inactive 2 years be expected to make a weight he hadnt made in years but he'd fight everyone else at 168?
