  • The thing I like about golovkin is the emotion he can produce from people he has never met. You get people like the guy a couple posts up from me frothing at the mouth on the edge of a coronary hating on him and many more like him. Its entertaining to say the least, almost as much fun as the floyd/pac haters.

    • It's going to be a great fight. Basically GGG will methodically cut the ring off and pressure Canelo. If Canelo can handle it and hurt GGG he wins the fight. If he can't it will be business as usual for GGG. Break the opponent down until he can't go on. Not to disparage Canelo. I think he's great. I just think GGG is on another level. Pretty simple really. I just hope the fight happens so we can all enjoy it and of course discuss it later.

I agree. Ive said before I think Golovkin will try and wear Canelo down like he did Lemule. Canelo is another level than Lemule so we see what happens.

Ishe literally left 160 to feast on the weaker comp at 154 and picked up a paper title in the process. But couldn't even break into the weak MW top ten.
Right, MW are just less known, I think there is some good talent there and has been.

Exactly what MW did Canelo beat to be deemed the second best MW.

He has beaten zero MW. That doesn't make him second best, it makes him a complete unknown.

I agree with everything but the part where if ggg cant break canelo down ginger wins. GGG is a smarter and better boxer than Canelo, he could outbox him too. And he will be the one landing the harder more solid punches.

Canelo has not proven to have mw power. IN facts, I think his JRMW power is suspect. Hes only KO'd kirkland, who had been KO'd by Ishida too---who ggg destroyed.

Kirkland had to come down from 200 pounds to fight canelo, and he had been out for 18 months. I am not sure canelo has the power to hurt MW fighters, or why else keep him at 155 fighting WW.

Its true, this fight cannot go 12, because Canelo starts out with at least one judge on his side.

However, GGG is not going to let canelo go 12 with him. If Canelo cant KO Cotto, he is not going to KO GGG.

However, GGG can and will likely cause Canelo to give in. Much like Lemieux was done when the ref called it.

                    It's a dreadful middleweight era.
When has the middleweight division been strong..

Hagler and hopkins both reigned over pretty weak dovisions... Especially hopkins..

Did he not fight Floyd? He lost but he still gained big fight experience from it.
