The current IBF top10 lists are absurd, they are gonna get someone killed.
I dont disagree that canelo is better than those guys..

But geale was a legit titleholder..

Murray should have been undisputed lineal champ but got screwed vs strum and serg

Macklin gave hell to both strum and serg, and ggg went right thru him

Lemuiex is a big puncher that had himself a belt..

Maybe if guys like strum, serg, cotto, canelo, quillen, jacobs would man up and fight GGG, golovkin wouldn't be wasting time fighting these 2nd tier guys

They both tend to depend more on their power rather than creating opportunities and tend to be more on the defensive and depend on countering when getting outboxed. So I'd expect GGG to approach the fight the same way he approached Lemieux, respect their power and use the jab to pick them apart.

I hope the fight happens. I cannot see Canelo surviving 12 rds against GGG. I think by eventually facing GGG, Canelo will gain more fans despite being KO'd in the fight. He's young & will be back better.

Lemieux is a very tough, and game fighter, but he is not upper class. Anyone with a good boxing base, and some power can beat him. Marco Antonio Rubio beat him bad, and he was getting towards the end of his career. Canelo has close to the same power, but can box, and fight at the top level, not to mention great head movement. A much better fighter. He throws straighter, sharper, and more accurate combos, and is not easy to hit. Golovkin is also much better than Lemieux, as we have seen, but Canelo is a much more even fight than Lemieux, or any other Golovkin fight. I cannot wait to see these two evenly matched fighters go at it.

I would describe Murray is a very good fighter, bottom-middle of the table.....

..... and possibly Lemiuex, bottom of the table.....

..... and I would describe Macklin/Geale/Stevens..... as good, but definitely not GENUINE top10 middleweights.

            It's a dreadful middleweight era.

I don't think they are similar at all, not even close.

              Canelo > Lemieux, hands down.

He lost to Rubio five years ago. I can named several fighters who considered better than Lemiuex who lost to worst comp in the beginning off their careers.

Lemule has solid wins and has proven to be a top fighter, no need to throw dirt on the man accomplishments.

There is just so many questions about GGG though. Like how good will he perform when he finally fights an Elite fighter that will hit him back. That's a question I want answered. GGG has to earn his Reputation in my eyes, I will not overrate him like his fans clearly do.

Lemule would possibly knock Canelo out. Unfortunately golden boy made the Canelo vs Khan fight instead of making the fight that made the most sense, Lemule vs Canelo.

Who are these elite fighters Canelo has fought? Based on your standards I don't see anyone he has beaten that would be considered elite.
