What I find most odd are the haters who call 160 weak but at the same time praise 154. The same 154 were Ishe Smith is a top ten fighter ( and has been for years) but couldn't hang with the MW top ten.Strange, almost every one of those fighters where ranked by Ring in top ten MW when GGG four them.
GGG haters do this all the time. They look at his opponents as they are today, not who they were when GGG fought them. Things change, but GGG has beat 7 top ten MW in three years-as ranked by Ring mag.
Geale is a former champ who never been stopped before GGG fought him. Lemiuex was on nine fight win streak. Murray is a good fighter who was one bad call away from best Sergio.
****, I think Geale is stil, ranked in top ten MW by Ring.
I guess none of that will matter come September. Oh wait, maybe you can start putting it out there Canelo is a bum. Because usually when GGG beats you, his haters instantly start question how good you are.
Ishe literally left 160 to feast on the weaker comp at 154 and picked up a paper title in the process. But couldn't even break into the weak MW top ten.Comment

Since American debute, GGG has beaten more top ten fighters than any top...
Stop the nonsense about GGG fighting top ten fighters. Whose been beating more top tens? Not only that, GGG has run through them.
I found this. Some ask why Canelo doesn't get Floyd, because he hasn't beaten him.

*The world rankings of the four major organisations (IBF, WBO, WBC, WBA) do not accurately reflect who the best boxers in each weight division are. Case in point: arguably the five best heavyweights in the world – Klitschko, Wilder, Ortiz, Fury and Povetkin – do not feature in the IBF heavyweight top 10. Therefore the Transnational Boxing Rankings have been referred to in this article.Comment

This response is fair. I also believe GGG does somethings better. But I do believe Canelo is a top fighter, because he has not only fought avoided fighters, but beat most. The Lara, and Trout fights were dangerous, but he still fought, and won in my opinion, and the judges. I just think he finds a way to win. GGG has not had those fights, but you are right. He does seem to be the real thing. I just think he will have to prove it in this fight.Canelo and GGG are pretty much the same size and Canelo has never really had a decisive win against his best opposition. I haven't seen much development from Canelo as I'd like, he's still flatfooted and he never really controls the fight, he's way too opportunistic, he doesn't create his opportunities, that's the sign of a boxer with little experience to me. GGG howeer Has much more experience overall as a boxer, pro experince doesnt really translate to your actual skillset. He still comes up short to GGG in terms of tact and the very basics of boxing. Just because Canelo is regarded as a top fighter doesn't necessarrily make him one, to me it's much more about what they do in the ring rather than who've they've fought. If you look at the fighters themselves the edge definitely goes to GGG. Better footwork, better jab, better at creating and taking advantage of opportunities, proven power in both hands against Middleweights and over 300 amatuer bouts guarantees he's fought Canelo's fighting style. I'd even draw a parallel between Canelo and Lemieux.Comment

I think the style match-up would be golden, possible FOTY candidate like the Angulo vs Lara fight. Lemule, unlike Canelo, doesn't mind taking one to give one. He has power in both hands and knows how to cut the ring off.
Bu let me ask you one question. Would you consider Kermit Cintron a master boxer?Comment

I stand corrected! And no Canelo has never seen a puncher, nor a fighter like this. But the opposite is also true for GGG, except for Lemieux, and Stevens. ( Could punch, Not fight at this level). I just think this is a closer fight that people think it is.murray
macklin
geale
stevens
lemuix
were all top 10 guys when GGG slaughtered them
There is a reason why n'dam, strum, serg, cotto all refused to fight GGG
Can you name a legit big puncher that canelo has faced... Yes he has fought good comp but trout, floyd, lara, and cotto aren't big punchers.. And no kirkland and angulo don't count as they were damaged goods
Obviously this will be the best fighter GGG has faced, and it will be the biggest puncher that canelo has faced..Comment

If GGG smoke Canelo gonna say he needs to move up to 168 because Canelo is the 2nd best MW. And he would BEAT shtty Mario Lemuix. Win or lose against Kov. GGG is gonna have to either be great or don't even SNIFF 168 lbs. And stay in the SHTTY MW division until Ward retires. Ward has seen GGG NUMEROUS times in person. And Everytime he pretty much call him a liar. Just look at his last interview.. GGG REFUSED to even acknowledge Ward. What did he say??? Ward is disrespectful and cuzzes??? Lol we both know why. The interview was on THIS site. Pay CLOSE attention to the last quotes. What are you gonna do when GGG obliterates Canelo. I can only imagine the ****ing excuses you'll come up with. Here, let me provide you with some:
Canelo is a 154 pounder whose never fought MW (when the last time Canelo has made 154) (I guess it's 154 division limit unless your Canelo, then it's 155).
Canelo was too young for the experienced GGG.
Canelo slipped and bumped his head before the fight.
Canelo is stil, feeling the effects of Khan's thundering blows.
OH, NOW YOU WANT TRIANGLES.L
So what, Kirkland ko Angulo, Ishida KO'd Kirkland, and GGG KO'd Ishida. Does that mean GGG KO's Kirkland and Angulo--well yea, but besides the point.
If so, Canelo couldn't KO both of Lemieux, Lemiuex would easily.
Styles make fights, and Lemieux would be a very dangerous for Canelo. For one, he's bigger than what Canelo is used too. Canelo is a small middleweight who fights WW and 154era. Lemieux is a bigger MW who should be fighting 168.
Canelo would be favored to win, but it wouldn't be an epic upset if Lemiuex best him. Just like GGG is favored to skunk Canelo.
What are you gonna do September 18 when Canelo is a good boy? Al, this talking, means little. You probably hope Canelo Ducks GGG.
I bet you GGG will NEVER fight Ward. Heck hell NEVER move up either. GGG is ALL talk. None of the good fights get made with him. If Canelo and GGG goes to a fkn PURSE bid who you gonna blame??? Even if it's 160 weight. gGG isn't WORTH 55/45 split. So you BETTER blame GGG you HYPOCRITE. But you won't. You'll blame Canelo because he doesn't want to split 55/45 with MR. 97 K fans...Comment

That was not my intention. Lemieux is a fine fighter. I just don't think he, and Canelo are on the same level. No dirt on his career.Comment

Lara is the most overrated fighter in boxing in the last 10 years. I've never seen a fighter with a 22-2-2 get so much hype. Do people forget he went to a draw with Carlos Molina? The same guys who got washed by Cornelius Bundrage.Comment
