Danny Jacobs goes into hiding

You guys are turning an ant hill into a mountain. No one's hiding from no one. If anything, Team Golovkin has been guilty of not mentioning Jacobs for the last year or so.
The equation is rather simple and hasn't changed since I've been starting threads on this subject since last year.
If Canelo-GGG can't get made in the next week, the WBA will mandate Jacobs has GGG's mandatory. This is fine because Team Jacobs can still complete their pre-planned arrangement of fighting in July and then fighting GGG late this year in the Fall, just like Andre Rozier explained in the video I posted earlier in this same thread.
Why is everyone putting so much weight and calling Jacobs a duck because his team opts to make the fight in the fall is beyond me.
I think a better question would be why can't Team Golovkin wait until after Jacobs fights his tune-up this summer then target Jacobs like they've always done with every other challenger they've targeted in the last 5 years?
That's right, I almost forgot, if Jacobs can't make the fight next month that means he's ducking. If GGG can't get Jacobs or Canelo to sign to fight by this month that means the fight can't possibly be made against Jacobs in Oct/Nov? Does that make any sense to anyone with an iota of a brain cell?Last edited by Chollo Vista; 05-13-2016, 03:45 PM.Comment

In that very same interview, Canelo also said that the belt doesn't even matter, he just wants the fight. Folks here have chosen to avoid that part, which is nothing new.
If K2/Sanchez/Golovkin continue to hang their hat on "a middleweight title fight has to be at 160", Alvarez puts the WBC 160 belt in the trash and goes to the public, calling Golovkin a ***** (or whatever the equivalent is in Spanish slang) for hiding behind the 160lb weight, after the years of his camp, running around, telling everyone about how Golovkin whoops every fighter 154-168.
Heck, Alvarez may just start referring to Golovkin as lil G.Comment

Why would he do that if he's too small for Mw? Dumb stuff as usualIn that very same interview, Canelo also said that the belt doesn't even matter, he just wants the fight. Folks here have chosen to avoid that part, which is nothing new.

Yes but at the same time he said let's forget about the belts and fight for the honor, which means I'll vacate. Why would he vacate then?Comment

So it's not about the belts but honor when it comes to Golovkin. Right. Looks like a reason to drop the belt and not have any mandated reason to fight at 160 if he wants to fight Gennady. He better not try to pull any bs.Comment

IDK about schooling. What fight did you watch?
anyway... I would bet that Cotto vs lilg woulda been signed already. Cotto isn't scared of anyone and will fight anyone. He has a history of this and it can't be questioned.
