Oscar: I offered 10% of the PPV buys, fight at 154 lbs, no belt, but he said no, we tried.

I fully expect them to lowball the hell out of GGG. There is just no way Golden Boy wants this fight now instead of next May.

I doubt it gets made this year, Canelo would be crazy to fight GGG without a few tune-up fights at 160 first.

Well at least the lines of communication are open and they seem to be open to trying to get this mega fight done.

The weight in my opinion won't be the problem. The problem will come to the financial part of this negotiation. Their is absolutely no way the split will be 55/45 split for Canelo. Golden Boy will probably take a minimum of 65/35 if not 70/30 percent of the pie.

Hopefully team GGG can convince Golden Boy to do a 60/40 split. But will see, this will definitely be an interesting month of negotiations.
