i think he's factoring in that pac beat floyd head to head or at least should have gotten the decision since he landed the much cleaner punches so that probably influences his point of view. he's not going to just be a boxrec nerd and pretend he didn't see the fight.

LOL! Froid fans always using JMM as a marker!

Actually Floyd failed to make weight against Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather, who came off a 21-month absence to fight Juan Manuel Marquez, weighed in at 146 pounds, two over the agreed upon catch weight of 144 for their scheduled 12-round welterweight fight.

By fight time he was much bigger. Juan Manuel Marquez has never fought at a weight greater than 135 pounds.

Floyd Mayweather Jr., the unbeaten former six-time world champion trying to reclaim the mythical title of the world's best pound-for-pound fighter after a 21-month layoff, couldn't make the 144-pound limit, and had his advisors craft a revised bout agreement earlier Friday that allowed him to weigh in at 146 pounds -- with a financial penalty.

Mayweather has fought as heavy as 154 pounds, and there has been discussion in the Marquez camp that Mayweather weighed as much as 160lbs. An 18-pound disparity.

JMM is a gentleman and good sport. He is not gonna cry about the weight disparity!

This what Froid does he manipulates the fights in his favor.

        The Best Ever???????????

If we are talking about showman maybe 2nd to "P.T." Barnum!

        Fighter? Hell no!

PAC beat Bradley x3 jmmx3 barrearax2 moralesx2. That alone is a fifth of Floyd's career worth of wins. PAC just consistently fought and beat higher calibre opponents throughout his career.

Withfloyd people always get the impression he could have challenged himself more

Max is wrong on Pacquiao being greater than Mayweather pound for pound in an all time great conversation. His argument is that even though Mayweather is the better boxer head to head Pacquiao is the greater fighter pound for pound because he came from a smaller weight class. His argument has several holes and here is why.

He claims that Pacquiao started at 106 pounds and moved up to light middleweight and became champion. What he is forgetting is that Mayweather also fought as low as 106 pounds, the only difference between the two was that Manny was pro and Floyd was still fighting in the amateurs. Remember Floyd was a three time national champion at three different weight classes before turning pro.

He seems to be ignoring the fact that Manny was brutally knocked out twice before even getting to 130 pounds. How can Manny be greater pound for pound if he has been knocked out twice by guys smaller and less accomplished than Floyd? How can a man who has been defeated multiple times in multiple weight classes be greater than a man who has not been defeated in any weight class?

And the final hole in his argument is that he seems to be ignoring the result of Mayweather Pacquiao. Every time Manny would fight he would ask Manny about Floyd and vice versa. HBO built that fight up for 6 years and now they are pretending as if the result of the fight doesn't matter. Floyd beat Manny and easily beat a guy who also beat Manny in Marquez. Both Manny and Floyd had a weight advantage over Marquez in their last fights against him. So please don't use the weight excuse.

Using Max's logic, Holyfield is greater than Ali. Evander Holyfield came from light heavyweight and became the four time heavyweight champion. Muhammad Ali fought his whole professional career at heavyweight and was only a three time heavyweight champion of the world. Does that make Holyfield greater pound for pound than Muhammad Ali? NO
well, if max said pac is the better fighter then that's that......

you can not say the other guy is a better fighter when he wins bouts by mastering the art of, pardon the pun, avoiding really getting into a fight....

We forget about Kostya Tszyu! Kostya Tszyu was the main man at Light Welterweight but a fight between those two would have been on the Russian’s terms.

Many say Tszyu lost to Hatton but truth be told Froid retired before then also avoiding a rematch with Oscar De La Hoya!

C'mon we lived through this **** before the world wide web and wiki, google, blogs etc.

              The Best Ever my ass!

Froids never even fought a 15 rounder!
