It would be nice if more people could be honest and relent a few points here and there, when it's appropriate.
Hey, don't bring Dragonball into this.

    • In the meantime, g string is pushing 35 without a quality scalp on his resume. The quality fighters he wants he can't get and the quality fighters he can get he doesn't want

Thats marketing and the fanboys will swallow it all , since when have fans been so worried about his pay and his belts , have a think about it its just weird , all they should care about is him fighting the best fighters he can get , yet these children care and defend everything else so he can avoid the best fighters he can get , its fanboy madness !

So he's content to keep fighting these bums.

Honestly i can't think of a more hyped fighter with a worse resume than GGGs.
U obviously don't follow boxing, u prob read this hating bs posted by canela's worshippers. He has 3 belts no losses and all he wants is the fourth belt which diva canela has. They said it themselves (him n his coach) we are not chasing canelo, we are chasing the belt, which canela has and afraid to fight ggg bc he knows he is gonna have to give it up (n he just got it too lol) if cotto had the belt they would not give a flyin **** about canela, bc unlike canela, ggg cares about his legacy and not $$$ like canela, bc ggg at least has something going for him once he gets the fourth belt from canela it will be him n Hopkins unified champions in their division, plus all those consecutive knock outs and title defenses, ggg is focused on setting records right now and NOT $$$, unlike canela who is only focused on $$$

Gennady accepted step aside money which was peanuts to the fight money so much for all he cares about is the belt , pull your head out of your ass you might see a bit more .

All that other stuff you said is off topic, I never said GGG is ducking Lara, I can CONCEDE that said statement is incorrect however I believe he can make more of an effort to make the fight.
Most all of the extreme, irrational hate comes from 'stans of other fighters. Maybe I should've simply referred to them as haters. And, yes, Fury/Klitschko was awful. I'm a GGG fan, but I'm more a fan of reason and logic. And there are certainly valid criticisms than can be made of GGG and his management. But they need to be put into context both in terms of the realities of the business side of boxing and the timeline of Golovkin's career. For example, what exactly does Rosado prove in regards to GGG ignoring Lara's tweets for a fight? That fight was over 3 years ago - his second fight on HBO. There's no relevant connection. in this thread, I've presented several quick and fairly simple ways Lara can push GGG for a fight. One of which would've had Lara fighting GGG instead of Wade. If Lara'd wanted it, it's there to be taken. He did nothing but tweet and yet GGG takes all the blame for the fight not happening. That's not a rational position. It's that simple.

As I responded earlier in this thread...What did GGG lose by stepping aside? Cotto was NEVER going to fight him and I don't blame him. So, GGG stepped aside, gave Canelo a chance to take the belt, and took Lemieux's IBF title instead. Is that not unification? Canelo wins the WBC belt and wants an interim bout...GGG agrees, can't secure a fight with Saunders for the WBO belt, and consequently takes care of the mando he inherited with the IBF belt he just won so he won't lose it. Is that not unification? Now Canelo gets 2 weeks after the Kahn fight to decide whether he fights GGG or hands him the WBC belt. Either way, is that not unification? If Canelo vacates, GGG's team is looking at WBO champ Saunders first, then Jacobs who is essentially GGG's WBA mando. Is that not unification? What am I missing here?

I agree with many of your points, the Rosado reference is valid because several GGG fans have dismissed the Lara fight completely because he is at 154, that's where Rosado was too. That's why I bring him up but again you can rebut that argument by saying GGG was at an earlier point in his career but I will say that Lara is the best at 154 so it's still a worthwhile fight. Many times we see a good fighter from one division move up to face the best in the next. I agree with most of what you said but I don't think Lara needs to earn a GGG fight... Guys like Monroe and Stevens didn't earn their shots, let's just settle on the notion that both sides can do more to make the fight happen. If it doesn't you won't hear me saying GGG is ducking, that's a ridiculous notion in my opinion.

What he lost was face with another glaring contradiction , in that he projects this extreme urgency to get that belt and fans use that as an excuse to not take other very good fights while waiting to get a shot at that belt , he was paid peanuts to step aside thats a complete contradiction on what is being portrayed by him and his fans .
