Lara is a legit name, better than anyone GGG has fought, yet GGG won't even respond to him. Sad, sad stuff. And I actually WANT Genady to beat Lara!

When the guys who are paid to make you look good are running out of things to say, it's time to step it up. People salivate over GGG fighting Canelo but they aren't interested in the guy who went 50/50 w/ Canelo? That's suspect as hell.

2. Nobody outside of boxingscene GGG haters care about that fight.
3. Lara's not worth any money.
4. Canelo has a MW belt.
5. The whole boxing world wants to see Canelo vs GGG.
6. There's tons of money to be made with Canelo vs GGG.
And just for the record Lemuix is Angulo 5.0.

The point isn't whether Lara would beat GGG. My God you fanboys are masters when it comes to deflection. The point is that Lara would be an A level opponent on GGG's resume instead of another tomato can. Motherfckers jerk off to GGG vs Monroe highlights but someone mention Lara they compare him to Rod Salka lmfao. Nut huggers.

1. would HBO even consider Lara, after he laid eggs on their air?
2. could sanctioning body issues be overcome that would allow GGG to defend his titles against a 154 pounder who is unranked at 160?
3. could the OBVIOUS financial problems be overcome? It stands to reason that if Lara got $1 million + for Zaveck, he would want considerably more for a GGG fight. Is the revenue there? Does anyone outside 7 people on the NSB boards think the fight is worth the extra $$$?
4. could the PR angle overcome the obvious opinion by many that the fight is irrelevant and GGG would get zero credit for smashing a 154 pounder?
5. Theres still the Haymon issue. Sure, the Wade and Khan fights are a step in the right direction, but nobody knows how the HBO - Haymon relationship is REALLY doing. As for Khan, GBP says they only dealt with Khans dad, and for Wade K2 says they only dealt with Tom Brown. So there is still some uncertainty as far as dealing with Haymon is concerned.....
These are legitimate questions. And a few tweets from Decubis doesnt make them all go away..............Last edited by OnePunch; 04-27-2016, 07:23 PM.

What I dispute is that him being credible somehow automatically means its a makeable fight. Sure, if it got made, of course I would watch it, but there are issues that cant be ignored:

Canelo is not fighting GGG right now so the Canelo vs GGG argument is mute in relation to Lara.
Financials, contracts, etc are all negotiable and to rely on them as an excuse to not even try is transparent. A lot of "impossible" fights are being made (including Canelo/Kahn) because guys actually TRIED to make them happen. team GGG is making no effort, not because they can't make the fight, or because there is no money, or even because Lara isn't a threat.
It's because there is a danger in fighting a guy like Lara (ask Canelo) and they do not want to take the risk.
It's pathetic because GGG is good enough to take fights like this. Sadly, the only bravado coming from that whole team is just talk. I'm not bashing him as a fighter. I really like him as a fighter and want to see more than this garbage career path.

I do think Canelo/GGG is the best fight for either right now but Canelo isn't having it yet so it's not on the table. The excuses veil a deep fear that Lara might actually beat GGG. Don't worry guys, Lara isn't beating GGG. Tip; you should WELCOME this fight so you can actually brag about 1 (ONE) name on GGG's resume and put the haters at bay! Quit being so simple and look at the big picture. This makes your boy look good and saves his joke resume.

His last two opponents are Jan Zevick and Delvin Rodriguez. Lastly, HE IS A JMW. What on earth do you think a JMW could ever do to GGG right now? Other than the 19 NSB dreamers no one gives a fk about a GGG-Lara matchup.
that notion is absolutely hilarious.
