I didn't look at peak. My statement was Canelo is more popular but GGG is closing the gap. I don't think anyone would disagree, big picture, that in 3-4 years this guy went from an unknown to a stud, beyond just the past year.

Of course over 3-4 years he's grown in popularity. But compared to last year he hasn't grown he's just remained the same. Meanwhile Canelo has also grown in the last 3-4 years by leaps and bounds and compared to last year Canelo has grown not stayed the same he's now the cash cow of the sport. He's not closing the gap on Canelo and Canelo is not done growing in popularity. Late last year both guys fought on PPV yet this year GGG is back on regular HBO for a reason while Canelo is still fighting on PPV. But he's closing the gap on Canelo?

When someone goes overboard with how much they admire a fighter, at time, yes, it's a little annoying but at least it is positive.
