    Golovkin is the New Star

You can tell by his recent Nike endorsement. Only Roy Jones, Jr. and Andre Ward have Nike ever had Nike endorsements as boxers. I think Golovkin eclipses Ward because he gets knockouts.

Also, he is in the media a lot. I don't see Ward in the media nearly as much. Every time Golovkin or Sanchez open their mouths, it's in the news.

He sells out an arena against an average opponent.

Speaking English is also a big plus(Canelo take note).

He's been on ESPN Sports center multiple times.

I'm not claiming that Golovkin is the best in the world. What I am claiming is that he is the new star. He's bigger than Canelo, Ward and Kovalev and the rest in terms of stardom.

That is a great point. Every time I see that droid, I know it will be hate for GGG. That's fine. Haters sell the sport and make stars, like they did for Manny and Mayweather. Love? Hate? Whatever. A strong emotional reaction makes a star and Golovkin has that.

I'm saying in terms of mainstream. Are there others who can rise above him? Absolutely. I just don't think any are bigger stars than himself at the present time. But I'm always up for a debate. Do you think any other stars are bigger right now? DO you think Canelo is bigger? To my thinking, he is the only one who comes close.

                That's very true.

Of course, Pac was also a huge star. I say "Was" since he is supposedly retired.

Sells out an arena with $20 tickets, speaks English and has been on ESPN sportscentre. That makes him a star? Hahahahahahahahaha
