Also, he is in the media a lot. I don't see Ward in the media nearly as much. Every time Golovkin or Sanchez open their mouths, it's in the news.

He sells out an arena against an average opponent.

Speaking English is also a big plus(Canelo take note).

He's been on ESPN Sports center multiple times.

I'm not claiming that Golovkin is the best in the world. What I am claiming is that he is the new star. He's bigger than Canelo, Ward and Kovalev and the rest in terms of stardom.
Canelo did almost DOUBLE the ratings GGG did for HBO 2.1m viewers to watch him fight Kirkland on HBO and almost 10X as many PPVs when both fought last year on HBO PPV. GGG struggles to sell out basketball arenas while Canelo sells out Baseball Stadiums. GGG's highest attendance is like 20k while Canelo has twice had about 40K in attendance. GGG's highest live gate (tickets revenue was 2m) Canelo did 12.8mil against Cotto hell Canelo did 3.5m against Kirkland and that was a stay busy fight! He isn't even close to Canelo not ticket sales, PPV, attendance.

GGG is slightly better performer then Kovalev and Ward it's marginal. But is nowhere near Canelo.

Golovkin is a bigger star than Canelo? Canelo sold 325k ppvs vs Angulo. Kirkland vs Canelo got a million more viewers. Just pathetic.

Are you talking about in the US? Or Boxing World Wide?

He is not known by Mainstream America yet but he is working towards that

Could you briefly point out why?
It's like GGG is the ONLY guy in boxing not fighting the best guys...

oh no wait thats literally what every boxer in the game currently does..

I've seen GGG 3 times live and could never get a ticket that cheap. Do you have a promo code for those? lol

Nothing under $100 got you in the lower level of MSG which was a 20k sellout. Name another fighter not named Cotto that is selling out MSG...STAR

I was speaking mainstream America. Worldwide, I don't know. Canelo could definitely have him beat there.

He hasn't passed Canelo in popularity yet, but being he has only been on TV in america for 4 years...He is closing the gap, and FAST.
