Lol Floyd blind fans don't know **** about boxing can't score a fight without their rose tinted glasses on complete biased you don't know how to score a fight If you had Floyd winning this fight, Floyd was passive he was pressured the entire fight Castillo landed more power punches in fact he landed more of EVERYTHING throughout the 12 rounds.Comment

The only problem with this thread is so many posters are answering Castillo just because they want Floyd to lose at something. You ask the same posters voting Castillo about a fight like Manny/JMM 2 or 3, and then they suddenly take the same position as Floyd fans in this thread.
There are some posters that honestly scored the fight for Castillo. I disagree with them but the are at least being honest and fair. I do think Castillo came the closest.
Too many are voting Castillo because they are still mad he beat Manny and ODH.Comment

The thread was made because of Kellerman's comments on the best of the era. The Manny and ODLH defeats have less than nothing to do with it.The only problem with this thread is so many posters are answering Castillo just because they want Floyd to lose at something. I always believed that a prime Oscar beats Floyd and possibly knocks him out.
I still feel that way. I called that fight a draw and that was a past it version of Oscar and the very best Floyd.Comment

ODH could've fought Floyd at any point he wanted. ODH was never as good as Floyd and that is the main reason why he waited so long to fight Floyd. He would have been bigger and fresher, but Floyd would have been even faster. The thread was made because of Kellerman's comments on the best of the era. If you called ODH/Floyd a draw its hard to think this poll isn't a reaction to that fight as I suggested in my post.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-25-2016, 09:59 AM.Comment

I think we have had this conversation before, have we not?ODH could've fought Floyd at any point he wanted. ODH was never as good as Floyd and that is the main reason why he waited so long to fight Floyd. He would have been bigger and fresher, but Floyd would have been even faster.

And your assumptions are way, way off. I couldn't care less who won that fight. I don't like Floyd but I'm not a huge ODLH supporter either. Roy Jones and Vitali Klitschko are my boys from that era.
So........
You can formulate a new theory or just go with the truth, which is what I said the reason for starting the thread was.
Oh and BTW, if you disagree with he poll results, fine. Just say that and realize that you are in the vast minority here. That should tell you something.

Respectfully, its hard to believe you because as someone who has been here since 2013 it would be hard to think you don't know this thread has been done many times before. You may have even commented in them.I think we have had this conversation before, have we not?

The timing is also curious-you made this just after ESPN had Floyd #1 of this era. Historically, the Floyd/Castillo threads usually pop up after he wins or gets an award of some kind.
As for being in the minority on this, that is fine. Those voting for Castillo, outside of Zarouko, dreamerusa and some others, are well known here on NSB and are not seen as objective. then again neither am I. They are disgruntled Manny fans and Floyd haters mostly. I'm sure they voted the same way every other time this poll came up.
Maybe Roy being 3rd was what prompted the thread. I don't know but it just seems odd that in 2016 a poster would create a thread regarding a 2002 fight in NSB, when there are multiple threads on the same topic.
Would you think it weird if a Floyd fan made a thread about Castillo 2 in 2016?Comment
