I mean are you honestly excited about the Wade fight this weekend? Just be honest with yourself, we know how this goes, both enter the ring, GGG cuts the ring off, hits him hurts him and its over in 3 or less. Do you like seeing him continue to fight no hopers?
Question for GGG Haters

If GGG stays at MW, eventually collects all the belts, breaks the defense record, and maintains a record knockout percentage will he go down in history as one of the greatest MWs ever?
I've noticed that many critics of GGG paint themselves as boxing realists, so surely you guys would acknowledge that this is the case?Comment

Eh I think the fight will be exciting, in the same way that Khan v. Canelo will be exciting. A guy is getting knocked out, guaranteed.
Of course I'd rather he fought better competition but I'm not naive enough to blame him for stuff that, in reality, he has very little control over. Promoters, coaches, opponents, television networks, boxing organizations etc...
...there's so much **** that goes into making a fight that just blaming the fighter is pretty silly.Comment

If that were true, so what? Style makes fight and style sure as **** makes fans. If someone wants to see knockouts they'll root for a fighter that delivers knockouts. Simple as that.Comment

Breaks what defense record? thats another thing, how can ya'll honestly count those defenses when Sturm was the real champion at the time? are we counting Danny Jacobs defenses now? and whats great about him knocking out no hopers? has boxing really become this watered down that knocking out wade and Monroe makes you one of the greatest ever?If GGG stays at MW, eventually collects all the belts, breaks the defense record, and maintains a record knockout percentage will he go down in history as one of the greatest MWs ever?

See, there is no context to this.If GGG stays at MW, eventually collects all the belts, breaks the defense record, and maintains a record knockout percentage will he go down in history as one of the greatest MWs ever?
I've noticed that many critics of GGG paint themselves as boxing realists, so surely you guys would acknowledge that this is the case?
Lets use Roman Gonzalez as an example.
The guy is 44(?)-0 right? No one really cares simply because of:
1. His level of comp
2. The guys he has beaten
That right there means more than any record, the names you beat will always be the standard.Comment

Not for me because he was elevated to full titlist and didn't win it in the ring.If GGG stays at MW, eventually collects all the belts, breaks the defense record, and maintains a record knockout percentage will he go down in history as one of the greatest MWs ever?

Given the lack of quality opposition I don't see how you could rank him as one of the greatest MW's ever. He has all the skills though, that can't be denied.Comment

I am not blaming GGG, but you cant blame people for not being excited and criticizing him either. Sorry man but its getting boringEh I think the fight will be exciting, in the same way that Khan v. Canelo will be exciting. A guy is getting knocked out, guaranteed.

I'm talking about what WILL happen. Again, be realists about it.See, there is no context to this.
