That is good but Done with the Ratings BS I watch the sport for the action in the ring and the fighters not for the Ratings, The Purse and how much their Adviser/Manager or Promoter makes off to the fighters

Fight fans lost focus over the years I guess because of Mayweather bragging about Purse and PPV Buys now everybody think that is what is most important in boxing.

I go to bars during UFC fights and these are the 4 biggest criticisms I hear about boxing. They love the sport and wish more elite boxers would transition over.
They are full of it. UFC is far less action packed than boxing. And RR smashing bums is prob what they consider great matchmaking

Every fight on that card was good, even the Browne fight.

PBC is starting to grow on me.

Oh for sure, whatever the reasons, people have moved on. UFC has filled that void that boxing once had over the public and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Like you I go to bars for UFC and it's all young guys and guys in their 30's like me. The public loves combat sports and somehow boxing manged to screw it up. Those same bars that show UFC don't even show boxing ppv anymore, and they did in the past.

I think corruption and a general sense of disorganization is why people don't care. I don't think people consider it a real sport anymore. More like a side show event. It's a shame because a great boxing match trumps any other sport's best event.

Fights were good and plenty of action. New names joining the upper ranks and 2 potential superstars(Spence & Glowacki)

It was the best fight card of the year. Every fight was enjoyable.

It's about structure though. Sports fans understand tournaments. If the Cavs beat the Pistons, they will play the winner of the Raptors vs the Pacers. So that makes you tune in to the NBA playoffs to see how it unfolds.

In boxing you get random **** like Broner vs Theophane. Ok so what does that lead to? There is no build up to something bigger and if there is, it's not being sold well.

Remember Friday night Fights? Boxcino pulled in decent ratings for that program because you had a tournament where the fights had meaning and lead to something bigger.

Going head to head with two popular events in the NCAA tournament and the NBA playoffs isn't smart. If you can avoid them and schedule around them you are much better off and give yourself more of a chance to succeed.

The problem is they didn't even take this into account I bet. They are newbies to the world of televised sports.

Not true. Every big UFC event gives you 1's vs. 2's or big names facing each other. That's true in boxing. In contrast to the UFC boxing moves extremely slowly.
