I absolutely love Spence, but why the double standard?

Imagine Spence against someone who could punch or brawl.. Dude is a brutal KO waiting to happen
Fighting flat-footed in an aggressive manner isn't a problem once you make sure you're American when you do it.

At what age did Hopkins move down t fight Oscar at 157? What middleweights did GGG choose to not fight? What two blown up welterweights does he need to fight to become a legend like Hopkins at middleweight? What two guys should he fight three more times to equal Hopkins fights with Echols and Allen? After you answer these questions, maybe then you will realize how far along he already is. But answer the questions first.

You saw the names Ward and GGG and no obvious compliments to Ward and the salt just started stinging and the assumptions just came? You don't actually have any idea what I posted, do you? I can tell by that avy where you went wrong though. I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't say anything bad about Ward. Rest easy...?

        Top 60 p4p? Wtf, man.

In fairness Golovkin was getting the credit but he hasnt upped his levels this last while, he needs to start forcing some interseting fights he has fought good fighters but not the best in the division fighting Wade does nothing for him. its not all his fault but he would need to start trying a bit harder, if spence is still fighting people like algeiri in a year or two people will start getting sick of it

The Ward callout is completely irrelevant. He fought recently for the first time in what seemed like ages. Anyone who takes a non-active fighter's side on wanting a smaller man to move up for him and give up all advantages is silly. People want GGG to fight Ward but we can't even get Ward to face someone in his own weight class without "tune ups"....not that I didagree though..but yeah. Stop, please. Ward and GGG was never going to happen. Ever. We can go back and forth for ever "oh but GGG said he'd fight at 168" or "oh GGG needs to test himself and move UP to 68 (contradiction...) ", "on but GGG has never been at 168 and Ward has fought at both 160 and light heavy!" Every excuse is ******ed. GGG is too small. Ward is too big. They've always been at LEAST 8 pounds away with only Ward having cleared his division.

Spence is an up and comer in his weight division. GGG is the best in his. But there is that bit of double standard... Geale, Lemieux, Martin are SIGNIFICANTLY better at MW than Algieri is..well...anywhere. GGG only gets called a hype job by insecure Ward fans. Not sure why, since Ward is an amazing talent in a different division but it happens. The psycho GGG fans act like GGG already beat every great fighter to ever exist also.
I think this post sums it up very nicely. I'm a GGG fan, but obviously I want to see him in with better opposition. I'm not so sure that his not so great opposition is all his fault though, either. His team may have let some fights go they shouldn't have and well, Martinez, Cotto and others have ducked him. So it is frustrating to say the least and I want the Canelo fight next for sure, but like you say, he's beaten down lots of guys who are batter than Algieri. He has won by KO 21 times in a row. That is impressive no matter who you fight, but he's done so against mostly world-ranked opposition. And let's not forget that Hopkins didn't face any great opponent until Trinidad outside of Jones who he lost to. When you're not a name, you really have to pay your dues before another name will get in there with you. It's unfortunate, but it is boxing. Everyone wanted to fight Mayweather for the money and the fact that he couldn't punch. But GGG rolls over opponents with his power and doesn't get hit clean much at all in the process. He hardly loses a round. And the money is not that great. I really do wish he was 24 instead of 34, but he is a young 34 since he's never been in any wars. So who knows? But maybe after Wade, we see him in with some better talent.

                NO!

                Because GGG is already old!

Hopkins got the Trinidad fight when he was only 36!

But here is the double standard. GGG has been looking sensational for the last few years in dispatching opponents. Fighting from the outside, inside, going upstairs, going downstairs, cutting off the ring, using array of punches but yet people say GGG is a hype job, over rated, he is nothing but Kelly Pavlik or Arthur Abraham.

I don't get it? Help me understand the logic?
The difference is that Spence is only viewed as a prospect. Given his resume, that is just. On the other hand, g string fans would have you believe that he is an ATG and top ten p4p without fighting even one quality opponent

Spence is too old to be considered a "prospect" at this point.

It's enough to say he's still young in his career, which is why he hasn't had any big fights.

GGG on the other hand has no excuse, especially when someone like Lara has been calling for him.

Trump did it. His campaign run has caused this massive tidal wave of racism that has trickled over into the boxing world. Since GGG is white looking, he is the Trump of boxing, he must be taken out at all costs, his existence is racist.
