The difference is Ward could no longer make 168 why else did he fight Smith at 172?
Ward has NEVER moved up for the sake of testing himself he is moving up for the sake of If he carries on at 168 he will be killing his body to make it he isn't a young man like Canelo.
Why should GGG need to meet all of Canelos term when GGG has the power in the situation he has all the belts and the WBC are going to strip Canelo If Canelo doesn't move up to 160.

Ward has fought Barrera and Smith in his last two fights both weak fights and he has yet to announce a fight with Kovalev who you like to mention a lot as things stand we know Kovalev definitely will take it especially with how much Ward struggled against a below par type of opponent like Barrera who isn't even better than Wade.

LMAO This is the ONLY thing Canela fans/GGG haters can say. Problem is, it's Canela that grabbed the "lineal" middleweight title from and old, waaay past it Cotto but now refuses to fight anyone he can't outweigh by 15 lbs on fight night. GGG, a smaller middle anyway, never went to 168 or any BS catchweight, and Ward even moved up.

So you have Diva who wont fight a guy who holds a similar middleweight belt, and that he will probably outweigh, but his butt-sniffers expect GGG to move up 8lbs to fight a guy who just moved up another division. Logical

Boxing sucks and Canela and all this fighting big "names" BS is the reason.

Small MW would EASILY be able to make 155. Barely MAKING the LIMIT 160 is NOT a small MW. Look at how BIG Murray was compared to GGG. And LOOK at how SMALL Sergio looked against Murray. Like night and DAY!!!!

I agree - I think GGG should agree to the catchweight. But I think both sides should be able to meet at 156 or 157. I don't think Canelo or his master is serious about fighting GGG though. At least not until he shows signs of slowing.
