Exactly. Alot can happen in all this time. One guy said if May and Pac fought 5 years ago they would have "only made 50 mill a piece ", boo hoo, only 50 mill? I refuse to let the fighter that I'm a fan of that has no idea that I exist and that I pay to watch fights one fight and make "only" 50 mill. BS is a site full of casuals.

No, it's a lie so promoters can feed you a bunch of mismatches..

Mma has proven you don't need to let anything "marinade"

Fans aren't ******, just make the fights we want to see and we will comeback for more

True. The May-Pac marinate/simmering wasn't directly orchestrated for the fun of it. It happened naturally. Mayweather retired and came back and Pacquiao had taken over. He tried to fight Pac on his comeback but Pac felt that he was the A-side because of what he done in May's absence and May felt that he was the A-side because of his own achievements and of course the fact that he had the highest ppv in history when he fough Oscar.

Negotiations broke down as a result and May ended up fighting Pac's then eternal rival who had given Pac all who could dish and take during their fights and May schooled him 12-0. Pac on the other end TKO'd and KO'd former Mayweather opponents Oscar and Hatton respectively.

And a whole lot of other stuff happened, but none of it was for the 'marination' of the fight, those were genuine disputes and issues that were occuring and roadblocking the fight, and both fighters continued to fight top opposition and collect belts (especially Mayweather on both accounts, beating champions and unifying belts in two weight classes).

This was totally different from what is happening with these other fighters who are intentionally stalling fights in order to 'marinate' them while they fight bums in between.

The fans are not dum enough to fall for that, not even the casual ones. People can sense when there is real animosity and conflict and when there is a 'publicity stunt' to stall negotiations for the purpose of 'marinating' a fight.

These promoters are all dumb. These fights are actually losing demand instead of gaining it like May/Pac did because nobody is buying this bull they trying to sell.

Just look at what happened to the demand for Kovalev/Stevensson. The fight had been in demand for a long time and now no one even talking about it. The only reason Kovalev is relevant now is coz of Andre Ward moving up and Stevenson is no longer relevant, but I guess this is what Duva wanted the whole time, that coniving *****.

Yet you stuck around and watched the fight 6 years later anyway.

Would you rather have $50,000,000 or $150,000,000? What idiot would choose $50 million? Why do fans feel that fighters owe them something? They don't!

Smart fighters will try to make as much money as they can, knowing that their career can end at any moment. People with no sense of reality make posts like yours.

And quote my post next time, sucka.

Simmering always sucks. It's just promoters way of stalling. A great fight like Canelo-GGG or Ward-Kovalev doesn't need a single day of simmering. By the way it was Cotto and later Canelo who refused to defend their WBC middleweight title against mandatory challenger GGG at the proper 160 pound weight limit leaving GGG no choice but to take another fight. If it were up to GGG he would be fighting Canelo in May instead of Khan. Oscar wants that fight to simmer for a couple of years so Canelo can get even better and stronger while GGG gets older and past prime.

              It's really very simple.

I'm glad MMA hasn't been ruined with this yet. It's time to consider the fans.

No they definitely dont. And its whats killing boxing.

I have no clue how these guys keep getting paid big $ because absolutely no one i know outside of small boxing circles (fighters, trainers) give a flying fcuk about boxing.

Its as obscure as a sport gets nowadays, besides the may-pac fiasco.

Oh I'm not blaming GGG or even any of the fighters necessarily(although obviously some have ducked). I blame the promoters and matchmakers for making pointless fights and furthermore the organizations for pushing them and allowing fighters to get away with it.

Lol. What a clown. I didn't stick around for that fight. I watch all fights. I'm a fan of the sport. What difference does it make to you if a fighter makes 50 or 150? Remember Paul Williams? Yea, that can happen to anyone. Top muck stalling and you never know. But you're a financial advisor and get a percentage don't you?
