I agree. I think we should employ a pressure cooker and get these fights done. If you're scared, get out of the way and let the real men rumble.

I prefer to grill them up like a steak. Let the flames fire it up right quick and get these fights made.

Fights need to be built properly.

Sure, most want to see two guys face each other when they are at their best, but in reality, we don't get that. Who can say that for sure anyway?

Some of the best fights I've ever seen weren't allowed to simmer for years and years. The obvious disaster last year shows the result of too much simmering.

This is the profession these men have chosen. If they feel they are the best, then nothing should be holding them back. If Golovkin believes he's the best, Canelo should be next and maybe it will be. If Kovalev believes he is the best, then Ward should be next and hopefully so.

The whole idea of a fight simmering is counterproductive to giving fight fans what they want. While some of these fights simmer we get:

            Golovkin-Wade= No interest
Gonzalez-Arroyo= Mild interest out of ignorance
            Jack-Bute= Mild interest
            DeGale-Medina= No interest
            Canelo-Khan= Mild interest
            Haye-Gjergjaj= No interest

            Golovkin-Canelo, Jack-DeGale and Joshua-Haye sound a lot better.

With guys only fighting twice a year anyway, I think it's time quality be demanded.
You do realize that simmer is a promoter's code for I am not going to risk a lost for my fighter by putting him in the ring with someone who might beat him and cause me to lose money. Don't you?

I agree with TS. Too many of you guys worry too much about the money fighters tend to make. Who cares? Fights should happen right now. You know how many people died before they got to see May vs. Pac? I want to see the fights now. Fighters will make the millions you guys worry about anyway. Tired of watching 2 years of exhibition fights before pitting 2 top fighters together.

I am positive both Mayweather and Pacquiao would agree they got more money from their fight in 2015 than they would have gotten in 2010. Now that's an extreme example and that fight didn't happen sooner because of promoter and network issues. It was an error making it in 2015, but it was a "good" error for everyone involved except the fans expecting an action packed fight.

Yeah, Golovkin's 97k versus Lemiuex probably makes everyone reluctant to do the fight now, since it looks like Canelo will carry the PPV. But the fight should happen no later than 2017. It shouldn't marinate for too long. Canelo waited 3 years to get Cotto, remember he wanted that fight in 2012 but Cotto was not interested yet. Cotto finally fought Canelo in 2015 after Canelo asked for the fight for 3 years, and he had been asking for the Mayweather fight since 2010 too, and got it in 2013.

I want to see Canelo vs Golovkin, but these big fights take time to make. Canelo is not helping either, with fighting Khan and not other MW's. I would love to see Canelo and Golovkin vs Jacobs and Saunders and then they fight eachother. But instead Canelo is fighting Khan for ****s sake.

It pisses me off that this is done. Why not fight once and if it's competive then rematch a year later. Why not a trilogy? It's sad that a fighter now believes one loss will ruin his career there for you have all these least risk biggest reward fights ( THANKS A LOT MAYWEATHER)

For fans, no. For fighters to maximize profit, yes!

Had Floyd and Manny fought in 2009, each man was slated to make $50 mill a piece. 6 years later and a bit past prime, both men made 9 figures, easy.

                    I can't knock the hustle.

Thank you. I mean, geez, if the crooked promoters want us to wait, I get it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it as a fan. Some of the attitudes here make me wonder if they have money tied up in these fights, too. Who cares what the obstacles are? We're the fans. We deserve better.
