About 3 weeks ago, Arum stated that he offered Garcia the Crawford fight and Garcia turned it down..... now he says that he didn't offer Garcia the fight because he knew Garcia would price himself out.

It was a 3 fight extension not 1. And Chavez Jr. ORIGINALLY agreed to fight for $7 million but he wouldn't sign the extension and Bob Arum changed it to $2 million.


Also how was Garcia still under contract??? You do know Garcia signed with Top Rank in 2006? His last fight for them was in 2014. You do the math! But that's PAST 7 years.

Another problem with the contract is they can't keep more then 33 1/3% of your gross ring earnings...Guess who wasn't telling who how much they were making off of them???

I doubt that Arum was paid anything. Arum simply threw in the towel because he knew that he had no leg to stand on and could not win, just as was the case with Chavez Jr. If Arum was being paid off, he could have released Garcia two years ago.
