    Facts are facts.

In one of his earliest fights, he fought undefeated KO machine Gary Mason.
He would later defeat legends like Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.
And who else would, out-of-prime and overweight, be able to beat a prime Vitali Klitschko?

He also defeated lots of other good opponents.

To make matters even more impressive, he avenged both of the only two defeats he suffered in his career.

He was tall and with an extremely long reach, having longer arms than even guys like Vitali who are taller than him. He had punching power, he had skills, he had the heart of a warrior. Lennox Lewis the best heavyweight ever and I would favour him against any heavyweight in history.
At the moment I can't think of any really good argument to dispute what you say. Lennox could have beat anyone in heavyweight history if he was having a good night. He had many great qualities and physical attributes that would have been a nightmare for many of the so called "greatest heavyweights ever." I think he made the right choice of retiring when he did though because I don't know if he could have beat Vitali in a rematch.

The best possible version of lummox got a lucky escape against an underprepared Vitali. He knew it and retired.

Lol its not even close, nice trolling op.

Cooper,Liston, Frazier, Bugner, Norton, Foreman, Lyle, Shavers, Holmes Just to name a few fighters on Ali's resume. Ali's is the GOAT in his era Lennox wouldn't even have won any world titles.

Lennox' mommy told him to retire rather than give Vitali the rematch, and Lennox obeyed his mommy

You're embarassing yourself now. I love Muhammad Ali and he was the best of his time, maybe would have lost if he fought Foreman in a rematch, but facts are facts, Lewis the bigger, stronger and more proven guy. The guys that Lewis beat would destroy the guys Ali beat. George Foreman is the best guy on Ali's resume and I don't see any arguments as to why Foreman should be better than Vitali. Foreman DOES have a better resume, but the ease with which Vitali defeated his opponents and his size, power and skills... I see Vitali taking a tough decision.

Vitali and Lewis fought. Vitali lost. It's a fact. What would happen in a rematch is something that we can only guess about, but Vitali obviously didn't yet have the defensive skills to hang with a big and powerful guy like Lewis who knows how to place the evil punches. Vitali would maybe never have been allowed to fight again if that fight had continued, so he should be happy that he got away only with his head being punched open.

Yes, and it's also a fact that Lennox retired as his mommy told him to, rather than give us the promised rematch.

Well, shame on him, but fact is, they fought, he won. And he won brutally, Vitali's face got torn apart.

C'mon, he knocked out cold by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman and was getting beat up by klitschko, hence the no rematch.

He was a great heavyweight, but you cant lose to Oliver mcCall and Rahamn in your prime and be the greatest ever
