Well, since you're convinced that Ward sucks so much I don't want to hear you praising Kovalev for beating him should he win their fight.

You can't have it both ways.

Ward doesn't suck, but he doesn't have what it would take to beat Kovalev either.

Ward takes too many punches to live for long against Kovalev. If Barrera can hit him, so can Kovalev, who has much faster hands and feet and can throw KO shots from all kinds of angles. And the first clean shot Kovalev landed would be lights out for Ward.

Some seem to think that Ward is as elusive and difficult to hit as Floyd was, and that's just not so. Watch Ward's fights ... he gets hit .. that will get him KO'd against Kovalev.

Ward does get hit but he's not as chinny as some would like to believe and he usually makes the necessary adjustments to nullify his opponent's main weapons.

Aside from Ward's defensive, which I think he'll improve even more, he is a physical fighter and noted spoiler. I think Kov will get the chance to hurt Ward but the opportunities will be limited.

I give Kov the edge right now based on his activity. Hopefully Ward's next fight answers the questions regarding his ring rust.

they both have a lot of respect for each other. it will probably be another high profile chess match and afterwards everyone will say boxing is boring/dead again

Kovalev and Ward

Kovalev is great, but you can't judge Ward on the basis of the Barera fight, where Ward was not operating at 100%. In his next fight, Ward will be more effective, and in the Kovalev fight, he will be rust - proof. Kovalev was unable to K.O. Hopkins, who will probably advise Ward for the Kovalev fight.

Ward may be knocked down, but he will know how to handle that scenario. Kovalev also knows how to handle a knock down. We'll see what happens. May the best man win!

This is just one of the many things I like about Ward....he gives credit to other fighters in the division and is very respectful. He is not a sht talker and is down to earth.

You must be new to boxing or you would know that if Ward or for that matter Kov wins a split decision, both fans sides will swear for years to come that their guy won so there wont be any singing or flowers, just a hot dispute that will go on forever or until they rematch and even after they rematch. Welcome to the sport!
