Yep, Ward would deserve the same credit for beating Kovalev, that Golovkin would deserve if he beat Ward. props to you, GreenK.

But, who said anything like that ?
Pacquiao stated that he was the greatest fighter of all time.
So did Mayweather.
Never heard Ward say anything like that, and I've never heard any poster make similar claims either.
Ward would need way more than Kovalev to take that mantle.

Kov only shot at winning is a tarver vs jones one punch kayo....boxing is hit and not get hit....Ward is faster, has a wider variety of punches...can fight inside, outside, on a pivot, slip, dip counter...you name it
throwing jab jab str8 right over and over isnt going to cut it with someone who hasnt even had a close fight as a pro....Kov is there to be hit on the elite level and has no head movement....doesnt throw many hooks or uppercuts.....leans back away from straight punches
and does NOT vary his jab, throws it the same way and speed...ward is just a more well rounded fighter.
Outside of Power, what else does Kov have on ward? Be honest...im all earsLast edited by therealpugilist; 04-04-2016, 03:32 PM.

Whether he is pretending or not I like the fact that he is giving Kov all the respect possible, personally I think Kov beats him, might not knock ward out but I see a KD and a UD win for Kov, the crazy thing is people are saying he is only saying this so a win over Kov would look great.... Whether he said this or not a win over Kov would be a great win period!!! Kov is a monster not just hype machine, his resume says so too not just hype machine.

The fact you think Kovalev is there to get hit easily baffles me. Gonna save this thread for future laughs

His defense is leaky and he leans to his right instead of block or slip a right hand to the left.....he has his head in line for the straight right, thats a bad habit....Ward doesnt make that mistake.
what baffles me is the people who think Kovalev will win only talk power....no tactics, assessment, why you think he kayos him, what can he do to disrupt wards rhythm.....its like casual fans rooting for someone they like but really dont know ***** about boxing.
Out of all these threads, its been one guy(cant remember his name) that gave strategic reasons why he thinks kov would win...i respect that not the old typical "he destroys him"...who has destroyed Ward? let alone win a 12 round decision
My point is Whether Kov wins or losses it wont be a cake walk like you think and I slightly favor Ward because he is the more versatile fighter
