Well, unless you believe in the one-drop theory - which was invented by white slavers to justify ownership of mixed race people - GGG is genetically white/asian mixed. His dad was Russian.

And if you look at a map, Kazakhstan is where Eastern Europe ends and Asia begins. So that must mean Kazakhs are only slightly asian. Lol.

Not what the history books will say. The times are a changing, records are set to be broken. Maybe one day some young buck will come along and break The record GGG is attempting to make.

April 23rd GGG attempts to break a 30+ year old record, better hope Wade can survive if not win.

Only on planet GGG(Gargle Gennady's Gonads)

Stevens lol....is a fringe contender man....never even beat a top ten guy himself

GGG has fought 1 reiging titleholder...lemieux

Ward has fought 2 ....Froch and Kessler(he only lost to hall of fame calibre guys)...3 if you count Dawson who was champ at 175 when they fought at 168

ggg...3 titlists defeated.....ouma was washed up........ward beat 5....all in their prime

it really sucks for you to big up a fighter that so many as accomplished more than then trash guys more proven

the history books will say he defended the WBA belt, however many times....just like it says hopkins defended the IBF however many times.....Monzon holds the record for REAL title defenses at 14...lineal, unified and undisputed champion not titlist

P4P is all skill based, its all assumption. We assume that if everyone was equal weight then fighter A would beat fighter B. People assume that Ward would beat GGG based on his other fights, people assume that Mayweather would beat GGG based on his fights. so if you assume (and i know you do) that Ward beat's GGG then you also made an ass out of you and me.

The point is after 350 amateur fights, and 30 professional fights you can somewhat gauge how good a person is and what skills they have, you can see them using these skills even during their fights vs lower opposition. GGG hasn't had questionable fights where we can say that he would easily lose to this skill set or that skill set, he is still a mystery to most of us as far as what his limit is.

Anyways i know he is a great fighter, but the question is how great. If you have to go 1 weight division above the fighters natural weight limit to find anyone who can even challenge him and 2 weight divisions to favor someone over him then you know he must be half decent.

bringing up the amatuers is an example of how truely thin his resume is at the elite level...as of today he is the number one contender to the lineal title....he holds two trinkets..nothing more or less

good fighter, potential to be great but he hasnt fought anyone to prove it

dotn bring up mayweather....people were trashing him all on this site man and the guy was a champion...not a titleholder...THE Champion at 2 weights, 11 defenses, and a titlist in 3rd before he was 30 and had 34 fights just like GGG...yet he was a coward...a ducker...this and that....comparing his resume to mayweather is even worse considering the media and casuals tried to make it seem like he fought no one...then ended his career fighting over a dozen major titlist and world champions in a row....this about lil g...Mayweather is proven....he fought 20 years across 5 weights and was lineal in 4....its not assuming with him...everyone knows he was the best

Yeah okay, all I know is that I'm going to be watching history get made on my 55 inch UHD TV. Records been broken never looked so good.

You should really try to enjoy the sport sometimes dude, you miss a lot of great things sulking on Boxingscene. Take for example April 23rd when GGG attempts to break Wilfredo Gomez's record.
