GGG's fight before the PPV against Monroe did 1.338 M viewers with a 1.474 M peak. That's significantly more than 1.064M and a 1.152M peak. That was against an opponent that many on this site feel is inferior to Barrera. I won't even shame you by bringing up the attendance numbers, especially considering both fighters have similar ticket prices of their fights lol.

Golovkin vs. Wade will also do significantly higher ratings, and will have a larger attendance number than Ward-Barrera.
GGG fought 2X on HBO last year and did just 862k against Murray. Love how you want to EXCLUDE that fight. Here is GGG's last 4 fights on HBO which avg 1.065M.

    Monroe 1.3m
    Murray 862k
    Rubio 1.3m
    Geale 800k

Since Ward switched over to HBO after the Super Six tournament on Showtime

    Barrera 1.064m
    Rodriguez 1.2m
    Dawson 1.3m

Again the ratings are virtually the same. Certainly not one sided like GGG and his fans laughably stated last year. Again GGG and Ward are about as close as you can get while GGG and Canelo are mountains apart in every conceivable category.

Listen GGG and his fans were the first to scream A side to ward and after GGGs PPV flop and now Ward ratings the more it just exposes GGG for the fraud he is.
So the answer to my question is yes, for you and others like you, what matters is US TV numbers, not fistic ability.

GGG may be the best MW in the world, but he's a fraud who doesn't deserve to fight for the lineal MW title at the sanctioned weight limit because his PPV flopped. Gotcha.

GGG could of had him stripped or Cotto stripped before him. It's GGG who keeps agreeing to step aside and voluntary defenses. Why? Because he could give a rat's az z about that belt and wants the big pay day fight. GGG could of had Canelo stripped last dec if he wanted.

I love how people actually argue numbers on here. These are average for hbo, not certain fighters except the big names. ggg and ward aren't there.

So the fans need to stop trying to justify this crap. Team ggg don't want it. Team ward moved on

Ward vs Kov is an actual matchup that neither fanbase is finding reasons to not happen. Let's keep it that way

Ward is NOT someone you want to hate on, because he'll consistently prove you wrong. Look at all the angry clowns in here either trying to pretend it isn't a big number or changing their tune about whether numbers matter. These fools are really going to have an ulcer in November.

No he's a fraud for saying he will fight anyone at 154 or 168 and then REFUSED to fight at either weight. He's a fraud for calling out fighters in Ward's weight class and agreeing to fight them at 168 but when Ward called his bluff he pulled a catchweight out his rear saying wait for Ward I will only fight you at 164. He's a fraud for saying Ward is not a big enough draw when he pulls virtually the same ratings on HBO as he does. He's a fraud for endorsing catchweights one minute and then crying about a catchweight when a true bigger star then him asks for one. It's becoming harder and harder to defend this idiots comments because 6 months ago he says the sky is blue, 2 months ago says no it's green, a month ago says it's red and who the hell knows what he'll say tomorrow. While clowns like you twist yourself into a pretzel defending his either blatant lies or hypocrisy. Every excuse you clowns had for why GGG turned down Ward is falling like domino's one day you will open your eyes and see what the real reason is.

You're a moron by bringing up those Murray numbers without context...

That was an afternoon show. It was live in Monaco. Shows that air in the afternoon and then re-air later in the night, you have to combine those ratings. So combined with a night replay it did 1.433M.

But it's nice to see that you excluded the the Curtis Stevens which did 1.41M with a 1.6M peak.

The only disappointing figure that you showed was the Daniel Geale fight.

You'll be put to shame once again when the GGG-Wade numbers come out.

Lol the game ended 1 minute into the first round, hardly played a big difference. They still could have caught the fight right after.
