A 50-50 split with Ward would've been GGG's biggest purse

wow i realized you were biased but i didn't realized you were this pathetic. Using Floyds numbers in an attempt to pass them as groves's
Lomachenko, Jesse Hart, Leo Santa Cruz did 4+ million PPV buys...
now i know why most people call you a clown on this board, no need to respond, as you have proven to provide garbage information.

How much do you want to wager that Ward Kovalev does better PPV #s than Bumlovkin Lemieux?lol exactly what i thought. information without context is kind of garbage isn't it.
In that case, GGG is much more popular than Ward so why fight Ward for 50/50 if Ward can't sell 10k tickets, gets 350k ratings on BET (yeah BET... free TV) and didn't sell a single PPV in his entire career.Comment

We're still waiting on you to provide some, *any* evidence which suggests that Bumlovkin is as big or bigger draw than Groves in the UK.

How much you want to bet that Canelo vs GGG would do at least 3 times that Ward vs. Kovalev does?
I'll bet you all my points that if Canelo vs GGG takes place and Ward vs. Kovalev takes place that Canelo vs. GGG will out do Ward vs. Kovalev 3 times.
you want to put your money where your mouth is?Last edited by Irony123; 03-28-2016, 03:14 PM.Comment

we'll find out with hard facts soon enough. its impossible to truly gauge until he fights in the UK. Lets just put it this way when Froch did a poll on his face book who he should fight next... GGG won that Poll (and he came in a few days after the poll started). Poll was between Degale, Chavez and GGG.Comment

We know Kovalev doesn't sell well that's why he has to travel. Ward has never had a PPV. You can't compare their fight to a Canelo fight who does double GGG numbers fighting Lara. Ward vs. Kovalev will be a good fight to compare. One fighter without a solid fan base and another fighter who only sells at home. How much you want to bet that Canelo vs GGG would do at least 3 times that Ward vs. Kovalev does?

That's why i said 3 times. No matter how you look at it both Ward and Kovalev are much more known in the US than Lemiux. There is really no other equivalent fighter in GGG's weight class to the popularity of Ward or Kovalev. Considering that Groves can Sell 500k in PPVs i don't see how Kovalev vs. SOG can't match that which means Canelo vs GGG would have to do 1.5 million in PPVs for me to win the bet... how about it, want to take it?We know Kovalev doesn't sell well that's why he has to travel. Except it wasn't "today". Ward wanted a deal for late 2016 after his three fights or whatever. Meanwhile, Golovkin was/still is after Canelo.
That's the thing so many of you don't understand. People keep saying Golovkin could have fought Ward, but literally there wasn't a time when Ward was willing to fight Golovkin (he turned him down in the past and for the extremely brief window that Ward did actually pursue a fight the deal Ward wanted was for a year away!).
The offer was for the first half of 2016, and just one fight in between.
Over the last few weeks, a lot has been said and a lot has been written with respect to a potential fight between WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs). As the finishing touches were being made to Golovkin's October 17th unification with IBF champion David Lemieux - Ward's promoter, Roc Nation Sports Chief Operating Officer David Itskowitch, emailed an official offer to Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions.
We would probably be watching the GGG/Ward 24/7 right now had GGG accepted. We made him an offer, prior quite frankly, to knowing about the fight with Lemieux. But regardless of that fight, the offer was very, very clear - that he and Andre would both have one fight before they fought each other, and they would fight each other sometime in the first half of 2016. So obviously the fight with Lemieux would continue to move forward and the next fight would be Andre in 2016Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 03-28-2016, 04:13 PM.Comment

probably because negotiations havent even started yet dumbass. Who caves in to "press release" demands before actual talks have even begun. Maybe a dip**** like you does, but anyone with over 20 active brain cells would wait until they are actually negotiating......Last edited by OnePunch; 03-28-2016, 04:11 PM.Comment
