They weren't worth $750K though. That was an overpay. The money they are being offered now is fair. The problem usually is that people use their previous pay as a benchmark, which is why you think guys like Stevenson, Garcia, Ward, GGG thinking they deserve a few mil or think some fights are PPV worthy.Comment

True but it's ironic that in this case the guy that did get 750k for a bum is willing to take 500k for the much more dangerous fight. It's tough, both should get a good bump, but that's a very xeexpensive fight for 2 fws that bring no fans and so so ratingsComment

Yup Lomachenko was definitely overpayed. Considering that Rigondeaux got the same purse to fight a star in Donaire. That being said, Arum already set precedent, so that is on him. Rigondeaux got 750K to fight Donaire. Lomachenko gets 750K to fight bums. Now you expect Walters to take less than a mil to fight Lomachenko? That is bull****. It is a good match up. I want to see it. Walters deserves to get paid though. Lomachenko got mugged by a fat old man. He then gets fed a steady diet of cream puffs, and gets paid top notch. Walters is then lined up to fight Lomachenko, who is no slouch, and you expect him to take the fight for less than a mil. That's Arum's fault. Don't over pay somebody for bums, and then try to pay less to fight a top level guy.Comment
