nobody deserves anything other than what they're able to negotiate.

boxing is entertainment. a non-essential. it could disappear tomorrow and the world would move on.

the market sets the value of the entertainment.

"deserve" has nothing to do with anything.

Top Rank are becoming a huge joke, from Arum making the biggest fights that could be made back then to the present where he can't even make a fight that isn't that big on a global scale but for boxing diehards this is a gem...
        PATHETIC!

I do agree with the Todd DuBoef comment though, but I think it's still possible now. If Les and Stephen are really blocking an Arum who genuinely wants to work with them, then who's the real problem here?
With Pacquiao on the way out, what "big fights" does Arum really have to offer, especially with Arum's relationships being toxic with basically everyone outside of the HBO orbit? I think Tim Bradley is a really good fighter, and beating Pacquiao would make him a player. Still, Arum having pissed everyone off limits what could be possible for Tim.

People don't simply "turn the other cheek" after all of the double dealings that Arum has done, especially a guy who's been as respected in the media as Les Moonves. Wanting to do good business now, simply because the fortunes are now turning on HBO, isn't going to work.

... because Walters, in his last fight on HBO, took home $750k (in what was earnestly a stay busy fight).

Walters-Lomachenko is arguably the biggest fight for Walters at the moment, yet he's supposed to take a third less money?

I want to see this fight but sorry it is NO DAMN WAY I would expect these guys to split 1 Million on a fight that is suppose to be a "BIG FIGHT" but nobody deserves blame besides their Promoter who took swipes at Peter Nelson before he took over at HBO and now that he is in charge Nelson is getting a little payback on Arum by giving him low ball offers which some would say is a Dose Of Arums Own Medicine

Arum burned that bridge and now Nelson is giving him the finger. Watching him flounder

Turned out that they're getting more than what the commission declares.

Excerpt from a recent Hauser article:

"For example; Keith Thurman’s purse as reported to the Florida State Athletic Commission in conjunction with his July 11, 2015, PBC fight against Luis Collazo was $1.5 million. But Thurman told Dan Rafael of ESPN.com that Haymon gave him a check for an additional $1.2 million."

                    No wonder boxing is f##kd.

Walters can't make the weight anyways.
