Honestly, the way the USA has been flaming out at the Olympics in boxing, I'd rather see some professionals going at it for gold medals...or imagine a young amateur beating a toP pro...that would be one of the best things that could ever happen to someone...Comment

Loma. And Rigo. Are exceptions. They had up to 300 amateur fights and even still its a reason why Salido beat Loma.

But what if these youngsters beat these pros like Pacquiao and Wlad? Do you realize what that would do to their careers before starting? That would be a great selling point and would actually make stars out of amateurs, which in turn would be great for boxing. I am not convinced that pros can just go in there and steamroll amateurs. It's a whole different system. Which is why someone who beat you 3 times in the amateurs, you can have their number in the pros, cause it's just not the same at all.Comment
