Look bottom line McGregor has been taking risks he fought the best featherweights wanted to move up and become a dual champion then took a fight 25 pounds above the weight he has fought at up to now against a decent fighter with experience at the weight can't see how you wouldn't have respect for him tell me somebody who has tried to do something like what McGregor did

Boxing & the UFC are extremely different in how they make names. Boxing tends to find a talented, sellable guy & then get him the key fights over several years to make him a star. In the UFC they find a star by throwing two similarly talented guys in the octagon together over & over & seeing who rises to the top. For example Felix Verdejo is being molded into a future superstar & he's not fought a live body yet. The UFC had a prospect (Sage Northcutt) who was being hyped by some MMA media as a future superstar, but the UFC threw his ass into increasing deeper & deeper water & he got his ass choked out. He might still be a superstar, cuz unlike in boxing a L doesn't hurt you as much, but he'll have a trial by fire & get there by winning the fights not being maneuvered cleverly like Arum tends to do for years before a promising guy fights a live body.
Sad but true. If McGregor was a boxer they'd have milked the Mendes fight for years, never mind the Aldo knockout. He'd have been kept away fro Aldo until Aldo was semi-retired.

        • Hopefully this McGregor guy gets used to the taste of dirt. He's gonna be eating it for a while.

Only when it suites your agenda.
I'm really not into MMA but I dig Conor and he will bounce back

Which is what boxing is lacking.

Also, none of that changed what I said about what he did against Aldo. Broner's got nothing to compare to that.

You're obviously trolling of course, so I'm not going to waste anymore time with you.
But Broner would never quit/tap, doe.

Also, the Aldo fight could have just been a fluke victory, he caught him cold. We really didn't see enough of that fight to honestly say.

Yes and it's what mayweather lacked too.

They don't use chokes in boxing.

That was no fluke. That was a perfectly, well-timed shot that truly knocked Aldo out.
