I guess we're still looking for the man (or woman) that can beat Mayweather.
I.don't understand how this concerns Mayweather at all.

It's back to business as usual for them. they can create stars whenever they feel like it because they have complete control over the game.
This is why the UFC is great man. There are so many great fights to be made with unbelievable drama. Those were two huge upsets and the train will keep rolling. The past year UFC has surpassed boxing in my interest. I can't believe it's reached that point, but boxing just lacks the interesting fights nowadays.

There were several articles about the financial affects of him losing in the subsequent years and they just started to rebound in 2014 and strongly in 2015.

Regarding those how claim this was a matter of Connor having to jump 2 weight classes, you have it wrong. His own coach said recently that he may not be able to make 145 anymore. Diaz is a 155lb fighter who got ****d at 170. Diaz was also NOT in fight-shape. Marathon training does not get you in shape for grappling. To top it off, MacGreggor is the one who chose to make the fight at 170. He said it himself.
You're right, they did suffer initially. In fact 2011 was one of their worst years. But they didn't fall off the map. They recovered nicely in 2012, and put up record numbers in 2013 up until now. We'll see what happens. My guess is they'll be just fine. With the kind of monopoly they have over the game, they control everything to the point where they basically are MMA.

Fighting Diaz at 170 was probably a big mistake. But he'll have to learn from that quickly or he'll burn out. Always thought RDA would be a horrible matchup for him, now I think he should probably stay away from him until he works on his ground game.

Witty comeback. But not upset at all. I can watch a fight, be impartial, and still notice ignorance from others when I see it.

It's so much more entertaining because they're delivering great fights.

HBO and Showtime have delivered nothing but pure garbage in the first couple months of 2016 and it's not going to get much better until April.

UFC already gave us Condit vs. Lawler, which was a great fight. Now McGregor vs. Diaz and Holm vs. Tate. Two more great, significant fights.

Yea, RDA is on a tear like no one I've ever seen and he would have humiliated McGreggor. He can bounce back from Diaz but RDA would have murked his mystique.
So strange to think how far RDA has come. If you would have told me 8 or 9 years ago when he was losing to Stephens and Tyson G that he would annihilate everyone at 155 I would have laughed my ass off. Major respect to that guy. True product of dedication.

                  haha classic !

I don't know much about MMA, but I did say last week that of the 3 usual methods of winning..... ko/tko, submission, decision..... Diaz does not seem to get ko'd or submitted.

You have to go the distance with that ****er.

And size matters, I don't care what anyone says.

Good for Nate Diaz, gratz to him..... tough mofo.

Secondly, two schools of thought..... Dana White's match-making strategy is either genius or insane.

In the last 3 months, Dana White fcuked his 3 biggest names..... all in fights that likely should not have made.

Rousey/Holm/McGregor..... all mismatched according to boxing standards.

McGregor and Rousey were fights that should not have been made.

They should have steered Rousey toward Tate, and they should never have allowed McGregor in there with a welter.

But I suppose it keeps things interesting, for the fighters and the fans.

And, you shouldn't be taking about Mayweather when you get KTFO by Diaz and Holm.
