I don't know much about MMA, but I did say last week that of the 3 usual methods of winning..... ko/tko, submission, decision..... Diaz does not seem to get ko'd or submitted.

You have to go the distance with that ****er.

And size matters, I don't care what anyone says.

Good for Nate Diaz, gratz to him..... tough mofo.

Secondly, two schools of thought..... Dana White's match-making strategy is either genius or insane.

In the last 3 months, Dana White fcuked his 3 biggest names..... all in fights that likely should not have made.

Rousey/Holm/McGregor..... all mismatched according to boxing standards.

McGregor and Rousey were fights that should not have been made.

They should have steered Rousey toward Tate, and they should never have allowed McGregor in there with a welter.

But I suppose it keeps things interesting, for the fighters and the fans.

And, you shouldn't be taking about Mayweather when you get KTFO by Diaz and Holm.

The brand is bigger than any name. WHite knows it. I thought Connor was going to get taken down by RDA and beat up. I think White knew that too. Great thing about MMA is you can lose and lose and still come back. Just look at Werdum. In 5 years McGregor might be a monster in BJJ. Just like Werdum is knocking people put now.

    • I love how this UFC talk has the users on this site in a tizzy. Says a lot about the current state of boxing.

With the kind of monopoly they have over the game, they control everything to the point where they basically are MMA.

Fighting Diaz at 170 was probably a big mistake. But he'll have to learn from that quickly or he'll burn out. Always thought RDA would be a horrible matchup for him, now I think he should probably stay away from him until he works on his ground game.
Of course ufc won't go away, they have a steady fan base. I mean they some how were able to make Ronda ***ing rousey a star in and out of the ring lol.
But their prime is long gone 07-10, now their cash cows losing doesn't help

So strange to think how far RDA has come. If you would have told me 8 or 9 years ago when he was losing to Stephens and Tyson G that he would annihilate everyone at 155 I would have laughed my ass off. Major respect to that guy. True product of dedication.
The only one that dominated RDA was Khabib. If he gets passed Ferguson the rematch should be interesting since Khabib was the one that was suppose to get the title shot against Pettis before hes got injured.

inexperienced? how exactly? He is very experienced.

He made the mistake of not focusing on his own prime fighting weight. He should have come in at 155 regardless of the weight.

Difference between boxing and UFC is that the world doesn't end if you lose.

Ronda was a different story because she got brutally abused.

Isn't that what's great about UCF and what sucks about boxing though?

For a while I've felt that Nurma (if he's healthy) is a long-time LW champ in the making. However, I've accepted that RDA's surge is no fluke and he may be able to hang in the rematch. I just have to wonder if Kabib is still going to have "it" after the injuries.
